‘Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s Chhaava continues to dominate the box office, maintaining its strong run even in its third week. With no major releases in February, the historical drama remains the audience’s top choice, adding significant numbers to its impressive collection.

Box Office performance so far

On its 18th day, Chhaava added ₹8.50 crore to its earnings, bringing its total India net collection to ₹467.25 crore. While the film did witness a dip on its third Monday, its overall trajectory remains solid, making it 2025’s first blockbuster.

The film’s stronghold in major metropolitan areas has contributed to its success. On its third Monday, Chhaava recorded an overall occupancy of 12.71%, running across 5732 shows in India. Pune led with the highest occupancy at 24.50% (582 shows), followed by Chennai at 20% (33 shows). Mumbai saw an occupancy of 19% (1143 shows), while Delhi NCR recorded 9.50% (1273 shows). Surat, however, reported the lowest occupancy at 5.75% (410 shows).

The Road Ahead for ‘Chhaava’

The upcoming historical drama Prithviraj’s first track titled as ‘Har Har’, is unveiled by actor Akshay Kumar. The actor unveiled the first title track and begun the countdown of the release of the film, with a patriotic song. The actor claims that “Har Har”, is the most patriotic song which he has ever heard in his decade’s long spanning career. According to Akshay “Har Har”, is a song which is the soul of the film and it salutes the daredevil spirit of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan who sacrificed everything to protect his motherland from the merciless invader, Mohammad of Ghor. The actor feels that, “Har Har” is brimming with the mighty king’s resolve to protect India which is why I connect so deeply with the song.”

Kumar further went to say about the song and added that, “It captures the essence of Samrat Prithviraj’s life and represents his strong value system that made him the fearless king that he became. Hari Har is a song that I fell in love with right from the first music listening exercise. Even today, I listen to it very frequently because it is one of the most patriotic songs that I have heard in my entire acting career.” The historical drama film, “Prithviraj”, is based on the life and valour of the fearless and mighty King Prithviraj Chauhan. Akshay will be seen in the lead role, as he has slipped himself in the character of the legendary warrior who fought valiantly to protect India from the merciless invader Muhammad of Ghor. The historical period drama is directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi who is also known for directing the television epic ‘Chanakya.’ The film also stars Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt and Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar. The film is all set to release on June 3.
