Sona BLW Precision Forgings reports 47% revenue growth in Q4 FY26

Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (Sona Comstar), a prominent mobility technology company, has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. Sona Comstar’s revenue from battery electric vehicles (BEV) reached an all-time high, contributing 39% of the total revenue in Q4, with BEV revenue itself growing by 22% year-on-year. The company secured four new driveline orders, including three EV programs and one hybrid program, marking its first EV program win from European original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in nearly four years.

For the full fiscal year FY26, Sona Comstar achieved a revenue of ₹4,475 crores, representing a 26% year-on-year growth. The EBITDA for the year stood at ₹1,107 crores, with an EBITDA margin of 24.7%. The adjusted PAT for FY26 was ₹670 crores, reflecting an 11% year-on-year growth.

The company added nine new EV programs and three new EV customers during FY26, increasing its total EV programs to 67 across 35 customers. Notably, Sona Comstar received significant orders from European OEMs for their BEV and hybrid platforms, adding substantial value to its order book.

Indiabulls Limited has announced the formation of a joint venture with a private land-owning entity for the development of a premium commercial project in Sector 103, Gurgaon. Food delivery app scam costs businesswoman ₹1 lakh

A recent incident in Delhi has exposed the evolving tactics of cybercriminals. A 26-year-old businesswoman from South Delhi became the victim of a sophisticated scam involving a popular food delivery app, losing nearly ₹1 lakh from her bank account.

The victim received an automated call purporting to be from the food delivery platform. The call, designed to sound legitimate, utilized Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology to trick the unsuspecting woman into divulging sensitive account information. Armed with this stolen data, the perpetrators then proceeded to siphon off ₹97,000 from her LazyPay account, which was linked to the app.

The victim, recognizing the fraudulent activity, promptly reported the incident to the Delhi Police’s cyber cell. This swift action proved pivotal in unravelling the intricate web of deceit. The cyber cell, led by DCP (South) Ankit Chauhan, launched a comprehensive investigation. Their meticulous efforts led to the identification and arrest of two individuals, Aniket Kalra and Himanshu, residing in Gurgaon. The recovered evidence, including mobile phones, SIM cards, and a plethora of credit and debit cards, painted a picture of a well-organized operation.

Further investigation revealed the modus operandi employed by the criminals. The IVR technology, used to trick victims into divulging account details, was a key element of their strategy. The stolen funds were then used to place orders on the food delivery app, and delivered to random addresses in Gurgaon. This approach aimed to avoid raising suspicion and hinder immediate detection.

A deeper analysis exposed the criminals’ connection to a larger network. The investigation uncovered their involvement in the purchase of discounted groceries online, followed by their resale in local markets for inflated prices, maximizing their illicit gains. Additionally, a Telegram channel surfaced, serving as a platform for sharing and learning IVR scam techniques, highlighting the collaborative nature of their cybercriminal activities.

Users should be wary of unsolicited calls, especially those claiming to be from legitimate companies, and never share personal or financial information over the phone. Additionally, reporting any suspicious activity to the authorities promptly can significantly aid in curbing the activities of cybercriminals and protecting potential victims.

Haryana government gives ₹1,925 crore to IL&FS for Gurgaon Metro project

On June 25, infrastructure and development and finance company IL&FS (Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services) informed that Haryana Shehari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has given the company ₹1,925 crore as interim termination payment in the Gurgaon Metro Project case.

As per a company release, the Gurgaon Metro Project, which is two-phased, has been developed through IL&FS subsidiaries as well as special purpose vehicles (SPVs) — Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Ltd. (RMGL) and Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon South Ltd. (RMGSL).

In addition, the apex court’s order had directed HSVP to deposit 80 per cent of total debt due (of more than ₹2,400 crore audit performed by CAG), with an amount of ₹1,925 crore within three months into the escrow accounts of both SPVs.

The company added that if any amount gets appropriated from the said escrow accounts, the appropriation shall be subjected to further orders of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) or any other competent legal authority in accordance with the order.

The lead bank in RMGL is the Andhra Bank in addition to Bank of India, Dena Bank (presently Bank of Baroda), Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sindh Bank and UCO Bank.

The lead bank in RMSGL is Canara Bank as well as Andhra Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank (presently Union Bank of India), IIFC (UK) Ltd. and Punjab & Sindh Bank.

The release said that resolution of ₹1,925 crore has formed to be a part of the total recovery of ₹61,000 crore estimated by New Board. It stands for the resolution of over 61 oA of overall debt of ₹99,000 crore approximately (both fund and non-fund based) as of October, 2018.

IL&FS had attained the two-phased Gurgaon Metro Project developed through RMGL and RMGSL in the years 2009 and 2013 respectively.

The Haryana government on Sunday decreed a week-long complete lockdown in the state. The state Home and Health Minister, Anil Vij took to his official Twitter handle to announce the same.
