Actor Ayush Sharma’s grandfather and a veteran politician Pandit Sukh Ram Sharma was taken to AIIMS hospital after he had suffered a brain stroke. As per the reports Pandit Sukh Ram had been airlifted from Mandi to Delhi. His health had started deteriorating on Friday’s afternoon, prior to that his family had decided to airlift him to Delhi on Saturday.

The veteran politician had been in the post of the union minister holding the communications portfolio in the Narasimha Rao government at the Centre. Pandit Sukh Ram Sharma had made the first mobile phone call in the country that took place between him and the then Chief Minister of West Bengal, Jyoti Basu. Meanwhile on the work front, his grandson and actor Ayush Sharma was last seen in the lead role in Mahesh Manjrekar’s ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ co-starring actor Salman Khan. the film was a Marathi film remake. For his upcoming project, the actor is next going to appear in a multi starrer film titled as, ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’. The film is all about to go on floors from this month. The Oscars have been deferred for a second consecutive year, and relaxed eligibility rules allowing films to skip movie theaters will be kept in place due to the pandemic, the Academy said Thursday. The 94th Academy Awards will now take place on March 27, 2022, exactly a month later than originally planned, and are set to return to their traditional venue at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

After ratings nosedived for this year’s unusual, pandemic-affected Oscars, which were held at a Los Angeles train station the postponement avoids potentially costly clashes with the Super Bowl and Winter Olympics.

The impact of Covid-19, which transformed Hollywood’s award season last year, shuttering movie theaters, delaying dozens of major films, and forcing many ceremonies to go online, also continues to be felt.

Traditionally the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences requires at least a seven-day run in Los Angeles theaters for movies to be eligible for Hollywood’s biggest prize.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is known for his comedy and Police centric movies. After the Golmaal, he jumped to focus on Singham with Ajay Devgn. The new cop in his ‘cop universe’ was none other than Ranveer Singh, where he became the lead of film, Simbaa. After bagging Rs 240 Crores on the Box Office, Ranveer is back with for another collaboration. This time they will be teaming up for Comedy Hit.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the duo is all set to shoot the “mother of all comedies”. A source close to the news portal said, “Rohit has been looking to step outside the Golmaal franchise and his cop universe, and the lockdown gave him the time to work on an out and out comic script. When he narrated the basic idea to Ranveer, the actor was equally excited as he hasn’t done a comedy film Rohit Shetty e-style before and agreed to come on board.” They also added that Rohit is currently waiting for actor’s confirmation and has been working all around the clock with his team of writers to get done with the final script. It has also been told that Shetty has the script for Golmaal 5 already with him.

On the other hand, duo’s Sooryavanshi was supposed to release earlier this year but due to the unexpected pandemic, the movie will not release until further notice. Rohit had planned to work on Golmaal 5, just after the release of Sooryanvanshi. The source told the news portal, “But Ajay Devgn’s dates are full for next one year owing to the six month closure, which has pushed Golmaal 5 also by a year. He was supposed to start Golmaal 5 around October this year for a Diwali 2021 release, but the film will now start only in the last quarter of 2021.”

The duo shares the same kind of vibe, with Rohit Shetty’s films being filled with action scenes and Ranveer Singh being so full of energy. Their yet another collab with each other can stir things up and also make things more interesting.

As the country has entered the fifth phase of the Corona crisis lockdown as well as Unlock 1 (as it is called) from June 1, 2020, the Maharashtra government has put across some stringent guidelines for film and television shootings to resume.

Giving the green signal to resume film, television and streaming services shoots with strict preconditions, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has issued a set of Standard Operating Procedures, titled “Guiding Principles to Restart Entertainment Industry in Maharashtra.” These set of ‘principles’ and measures will be active until further notice.

Ace photographer Sharat Chandra has welcomed the government’s decision. An elated Sharat says, “The Indian film industry, like most other industries, has suffered a huge setback during the lockdown. I heartily welcome the government’s decision to slowly and steadily open the doors for the film industry to get back on its feet.”

“Considering the fact that cricket and Bollywood are just like religions in India, its time when people stranded inside their homes for so long, are permitted to have a bit of respite. The very fact that they would now feel that they can see their Bollywood idols back on the screen soon, is a heartening thing,” adds Sharat.

Bollywood to resume shooting

Under the new rules, producers who wish to conduct shoots in the city will have to seek permission from the managing director of the Maharashtra Film, Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation (Film City). Film shoots across other cities or districts in Maharashtra will need permission from the collectors of those districts.

An important regulation is that the state government has recommended an on-set crew of a third of the original strength. The presence of an ambulance, a doctor and a nurse will be compulsory on every set, along with the monitoring of the body temperature. A significant ruling is that children below the age of 10 and adults over the age of 65 will not be permitted to participate in the shooting.
