U.S. President Donald Trump said the German chancellor should spend more time trying to end the war between Russia and...

U.S. President Donald Trump said the German chancellor should spend more time trying to end the war between Russia and Ukraine and fixing Germany’s domestic problems, including immigration and energy, instead of interfering in efforts to deal with the Iran nuclear threat.

Trump’s comments came amid a widening public dispute with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who had earlier criticized U.S. handling of the Iran conflict. Trump responded by saying Berlin should focus on its own challenges rather than pressing Washington over Iran-related policy.

According to recent reporting, Trump has also threatened to review the U.S. troop presence in Germany after Merz said the Iran war had “disgraced” the United States and questioned Washington’s strategy. The remarks added to tensions between the two leaders, who have increasingly clashed over Iran, Ukraine and transatlantic security issues.

The German side has been critical of Trump’s approach to sanctions and military pressure, with Berlin previously objecting to U.S. plans to ease oil sanctions on Russia and Iran. Trump’s latest comments suggest he sees Germany as overstepping while Washington is trying to manage Iran’s nuclear ambitions and regional stability.

The dispute also comes against the backdrop of broader disagreement over the war in Ukraine. Trump has repeatedly urged European leaders to take a harder line on migration, energy policy and security spending, while also insisting that the United States must focus on what he views as core strategic priorities.

For now, Trump’s message to Germany is blunt: deal with your own domestic problems and leave Iran policy to Washington.

According to an official statement, state-owned NHPC has inked an initial pact with the Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation to set up pumped storage hydropower and other renewable energy projects in Andhra Pradesh. In the first phase, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) envisages building of two pumped hydro storage projects having a total capacity of 1,950 MW.

These projects are going to be established at Kamalapadu (950 MW) and Yaganti (1,000 MW).

Once it’s done, these projects are anticipated to create significant employment opportunities and increase the local economy. As a joint venture, the projects are going to be implemented.

According to a statement, NHPC has signed the MoU with Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGENCO) to implement the pumped hydro storage projects and renewable energy projects in Andhra Pradesh,.

On Wednesday, at Tadepalli in Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur, the MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. NHPC Director (Finance) R P Goyal and APGENCO Managing Director K V N Chakradhar Babu signed the agreement.

The MoU aims to achieve the national objective of generating clean and green energy of 500 GW by 2030 from non-fossil fuel sources and of realising the net-zero target by 2070.

The pumped storage system uses surplus grid power available from thermal power stations or other sources for pumping up water from lower to upper reservoir and then it produces electricity during peak demand.

What exactly does the term 'dark feminine energy' mean and can anyone really tap into it? Find out here!

You might have been seeing a lot of posts on Instagram lately on dark feminine and light feminine energy and influencers as well as users teaching how to tap on it. But what exactly does the term ‘dark feminine energy’ mean and can anyone really tap into it?

Well, in this article, I will be answering these questions as well as tell you how to tap on it.

So, first of all, the term ‘dark feminine energy’ is all about challenging the boundaries that determine how women are perceived and valued. It means embracing the profound duality present in femininity, than just celebrating women for their gentleness, passivity, and nurturing behaviours. Every woman has both light and shadow and it’s about accepting both sides, especially the shadow side without feeling ashamed or judged. Every woman deserves to be accepted as a whole, without judgement.

Second, yes anyone can tap on it.

But, first let’s see the difference between light feminine and dark feminine energy.

So, the light feminine energy is all about tender behaviours, compassion, nurture, kindness etc. And the dark feminine energy is all about rage, raw emotions, passion, fearlessness, assertiveness etc.

Coming on to how to tap on it, well you can follow the following steps :

Connecting yourself to nature –

Take your shoes off, feel your innate connection to Mother Earth as you walk on the ground. Take the time to ground yourself and understand the natural surroundings around you. Connect with this amazing force.

Do shadow work –

Shadow work is one of the most important steps to follow if you want to embrace your dark femininity. It’s a way of self reflection and introspection. Reflect on all the emotions you have, the suppressed ones, the fears, desires etc. Own these parts of yourself without hesitation. Remember, it’s all a part of you.

Journaling –

Use the journaling method to express yourself. You can even write affirmations to connect with your dark feminine energy. Allow yourself to express fully without being judged.

Meditation –

There are lots of guided meditation on YouTube which can help you connect to your dark feminine energy. Listen to those meditations while using crystals which are associated with this energy.

Do full moon rituals –

Engage in full moon rituals like practicing full moon affirmations or manifestations.

Embrace your darker aspects –

The qualities you have is what makes you ‘you’. Embrace those qualities. The assertiveness, suppressed emotions, rage etc. all these are valid emotions. Allow yourself to accept and embrace it with love.

Union Power & New and Renewable Energy Minister R. K. Singh on 20th June said that India would not hesitate to increase its thermal power generation capacity to meet the country’s growing energy requirements.

The Union Power & New and Renewable Energy Minister R. K. Singh on 20th June said that India would not hesitate to increase its thermal power generation capacity to meet the country’s growing energy requirements.

He addressed a couple of media events in New Delhi where he underscored the government’s commitment to strike a balance between renewable energy expansion and the necessity of thermal power. He emphasized that the government has been relentlessly working on ensuring energy access, enhancing energy efficiency, promoting energy sustainability, and ensuring energy security as the four pillars guiding India’s energy sector trajectory. While keeping in mind the high costs associated with renewable energy storage, RK Singh highlighted the government’s efforts to encourage the development of Pumped Hydro Power Projects. These projects are expected to play a significant role in balancing renewable energy intermittency

“Huge capacities of Pumped Hydro projects are coming up. At the same time, we need to build batteries for grid storage. We need to have another PLI scheme for grid scale storage, so that we can augment capacity and have round-the-clock renewable energy. We will keep adding storage to ensure that demand goes up and investment keeps happening,“ he added. It was highlighted that the potential for diversification of supply chains using technologies like sodium-ion batteries and the export of around 50 GW of battery storage capacity.

As it is being forecasted to be a hot summer, demand for power has reached 230 GW as the government directed thermal power plants (TPPs) to not go for any planned outage during April and May this year.

New Delhi, March 14: Amid forecasts of a hot summer and peak power demand reaching 230 GW, the government has directed thermal power plants (TPPs) to not go for any planned outage during April and May this year.

In written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, Power Minister RK Singh listed out various measures taken by the government to avert power crisis and noted that coal stock available at coal-fired thermal plants is sufficient to run the plant for 12 days at a requirement of 85% plant load factor (PLF).

“As on 05.03.2023, the coal stock available at these TPPs is about 34 MT, which is sufficient to run the plant for 12 days at a requirement of 85% PLF. This is about 50% of the coal stocking norms issued by Central Electricity Authority,” the Minister said.

As part of advance planning ahead of summer, Ministry of Power (MoP) last month issued directions to imported coal based plants under Section 11 of Electricity Act to operate and generate power to their full capacity.

“MoP has directed thermal power plants to not take any planned outage during April and May 2023,” the Minister said.

He also said that MoP has approved a mechanism for operationalisation of around 5000 MW gas based power plants for 18 days during crunch period (Apr-May 2023).

State-run power producer NTPC is planning to import around 5.4 million tons of coal for its group stations to meet domestic coal supply shortage during first half of Financial Year 2023-24, according to the written reply.

According to the official data, August made the biggest contribution. The India Meteorological Department reports that this monsoon season has brought more rain than normal to Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh (IMD).

According to the news agency PTI, the Sardar Sarovar dam in Gujarat’s Narmada district has produced nearly twice as much hydropower this year as it did during the same period last year, or about 2,142 million units (MUs).

According to the official data, August made the biggest contribution. The India Meteorological Department reports that this monsoon season has brought more rain than normal to Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh (IMD).

According to information provided by the Sardar Sarovar Nigam Limited (SSNNL), of the 97,410 sq km total basin area of the Narmada river, 85,858 sq km are located in Madhya Pradesh and 9,894 sq km are located in Gujarat.

According to sources from PTI, 2,142 MUs of power were produced from the River Bed Power House (RBPH) turbines at the dam in Kevadia up until September 20 of this year as opposed to 1,129 MUs up until the end of September of 2021.

1,849 of these 2,142 MUs were produced during the monsoon months of July, August, and September. The SSNNL data showed that August was the most productive month for the RBPH this year, producing 901.298 MUs of power.

According to SSNNL Chief Engineer KR Parikh, exceptionally good rains have caused a significant increase in the amount of water released from Madhya Pradesh compared to last year. Power generation has increased as a result of the dam’s height increasing since 2017, he added.

The amount of power produced in the fiscal year 2021–2022 was 923.7 MUs. The RBPH produced 1,265.28 MUs of electricity over the entire year 2021. According to the data cited by PTI, the RBPH generated 5,216.80 MUs in FY 2013–14, which was an all-time high.

“We cannot say how long the inflow of water will continue from Madhya Pradesh and how long the overflow will continue. There is no such forecast, so we cannot say with certainty regarding RBPH power generation breaking the all-time record,” he added.

Currently, the RBPH and Canal Head Power House (CHPH) of the Sardar Sarovar Hydro Electric Project (SSHEP) have installed capacity of 1,200 MW and 250 MW, respectively. According to the data, the CHPH produced 589.3 MUs of power up until September 20 of this year.

The best thing about solar panels is that they are durable and easy to maintain. Usually, solar panels last anywhere...

The best thing about solar panels is that they are durable and easy to maintain. Usually, solar panels last anywhere between 20 to 25 years. And while solar panels are already designed for longer life cycles and higher efficiencies, here are a few simple tips that will help you get the best out of your solar panels and to keep them strong for years to come. Let’s see what these tips are.

1. Make Sure The Solar Panels Aren’t Corroded

Make sure you check the solar panels for corrosion due to rust, weathering and any other damages at least two times a year. In case you live by the sea, you may want to check more often. Let’s say every three months.

Even the highly rust-resistant panels are subject to rust in case the vacuumed sealed back sheet develops any cracks. Also, rust can reduce the efficiency of your solar panel system. What’s worse, if left unattended, the rust may even lead to a safety hazard. So if you see any signs of rust, weathering or any other damage to your solar panel, immediately call an expert for a checkup.

2. Check Wiring For Damages

Any damage to the wiring can cause serious electrical hazards. To avoid the same, you need to check the wirings on a regular basis. Make sure they are not damaged and are not exposed to dirt or water.

Also, solar panels can be a home to birds that may try to nest underneath them. Similarly rodents such as rats, squirrels, beavers may cause damage to the wiring. So besides the regular checkups make sure you keep an eye on the wiring for any damages whatsoever.

3. Keep Your Solar Panels Clean

If your solar panels are installed at an angle it won’t be a problem to maintain them. A bi-annual cleanup should suffice as the panels will get washed by the natural rainfall and it will take care of the dust, debris, bird drops and other pollutants. You can simply rinse the panel with a garden hose. In case there are stains that are hard to remove, you may use warm soapy water and a soft brush to clean it up.

If you have to get onto the solar panels to clean them, make sure it is safe. Also, if the weather’s hot, start early morning or late afternoon to try finishing the work during the cooler parts of the day. You may also get the expert to do the job for you while they are there for a routine check up.

4. Ensure Access To Isolator Switches Are Clear

Your isolator switch is an important part of your solar power system. Make sure you have clear access to your isolator switch as it is this switch that will help you disconnect the solar power system, in case there’s any emergency.

You would also need this switch at the time of maintenance, repairs or upgrades. To ensure that this switch is easily accessible, make sure you don’t store anything in front of this switch.

5. Get Routine System Fault Checks Done.

Do you know system faults can be life hazardous? To avoid all risks, you must keep a check on your solar inverter panel for any such indications. Your solar inverter manufacturer would have provided a handbook that explains what different indicators indicate and what if any of there’s a change in color in any of these indicators. Similarly, if you are experiencing any drop in panel efficiency or any such issue then you must get the system checked ASAP.

Want to buy a new solar panel?

Whether you want to buy a new solar panel or upgrade your existing one, you should go with a reputable brand like Luminous India. It’s a name synonymous with quality products. Also, you get to choose from a wide range of products that are available at reasonable prices.

The nation’s largest gas marketer and transporter, GAIL India is estimated to achieve a 500 per cent jump in its June belt net gain on higher sales and margin boost on gas and petrochemicals. The increase in the income is especially on account of higher bodily overall performance in natural gas marketing and transmission, stepped forward margins in fuel advertising due to beneficial market conditions, and better fee cognizance in petrochemicals and liquid hydrocarbons.

GAIL is likewise expanding polypropylene manufacturing ability using putting in 500,000 tonnes PDHPP Unit at Usar (Maharashtra) and 60,000 PP unit at Pata (Uttar Pradesh) with an approximate investment of Rs 10,000 crore.

Net earnings of Rs 1,529. 92 crore in April-June was up from Rs 255.51 crore within the equal duration a year back. However, the income gain was lower than Rs 1,907.67 crore income in the preceding January-March region. The April-June 2020 zone turned heavily impacted with the aid of muted economic foreplay and restrained mobility because of a nationwide coronavirus lockdown.

With an increase within the extent of gas transported via GAIL pipelines, the profitability from the business at Rs 914.90 crore turned into up 27 % year-on-year but a 3.6 per cent decrease over the preceding area.

Margins on gasoline sales helped the organization report a segment profit of Rs 377.61 crore from a loss of Rs 545.46 crore closing 12 months. It was higher than Rs 280.89 crore profit within the preceding zone.

Profit from the petrochemical enterprise at Rs 138.30 crore as compared with a loss of Rs 154.43 crore a final year. The natural gas transmission and natural gas marketing quantity accelerated through 19 % and 18 % respectively as compared with the corresponding sector inside the previous year. The quantity increase is because of the normalcy of the business sports as against national lockdown in the course of Q1 FY21. Turnover rose 44 per cent to Rs 17,386.63crore.

The company alongside its joint ventures is executing pipeline tasks of around 8,000 km with a funding of around Rs 38,000 crore. During the present-day financial year, GAIL has a capital expenditure plan of Rs 6,600crore. GAIL is also exploring possibilities for increasing its footprint in renewables as said by Manoj Jain, chairman and managing director of GAIL India.

NTPC Limited, India’s largest electricity generation service, is a government-run Indian Public Undertaking which is involved in the production of electricity.

On January 18, 2021, NTPC achieved a lifetime power-output high of 1,009 million units. Apart from this, it also noted a gross cumulative generation of 222.4 billion units during the time period between April and December last year. The company reported the gross power output to be up by 3.8%.

The requirement of power/energy in a state is directly associated with general overall demand in the economy; the massive increase in power output can be viewed as a consequence and measure of the nation’s recovering economy as the COVID-19 pandemic becomes more manageable.

This increase in power output is one among several other shreds of evidence of economic recoveries like GST (goods and services tax) collections, mineral refineries, and railway freight showing a subsequent rise.

Raj Kumar Singh, Power & New and Renewable Energy Minister, voiced out a similar analysis of the situation saying that December 2020 witnessed a daily electricity consumption of 5-10 GW (gigawatts), which was higher than demands during the COVID-19 period.

He also went on to add that the pandemic has been handled well responding to which a rise in the national economy can be seen.

With new eco-friendly reforms starting to be put into place, the NTPC has started making plans to make the shift towards green energy. The Power Ministry currently has around 20GW of power capacity under the works, out of which 5GW will be obtained from renewable sources.

The NTPC has 70 power stations all over the country, with the current installed capacity standing at 63.63 GW.

For its clean energy portfolio, the NTPC aims to infuse minimum 1GW of solar projects and 1GW of wind energy projects which will help it achieve the 2032 target of 32GW of clean energy.

With a proposal to permeate Rs 1 trillion during the present term of the BJP Government, the energy giant seeks to gain a power output capacity of 130GW by 2032.

In 2018, the first Modi-BJP administration introduced the National Electricity Plan. According to this plan, the Center had set a clean energy target of 22 GW (gigawatts) for themselves, which had to be achieved by 2022.
A recent research analysis, ‘The Curious Case of India’s Discom,’ claims that only 44% of the said target has been achieved. ‘The Curious Case of India’s Discoms-How Renewable Energy could Reduce Their Financial Distress’ was written by Vibhuti Garg, Energy Economist and Kashish Shah, Research Analyst from IEEFA (Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis).
The study stated that the Central Government needs to put a policy framework in place and incentivise states to do away with old thermal plants without adding any additional financial burden on states.
