Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia received her first Bollywood film offer during her time on Bigg Boss 16. Ektaa Kapoor and Dibakar Banerjee cast the actress in their film Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2.

Audiences were taken aback when Nimrit disappeared from the film. All the while, the actress kept quiet about her departure from LSD 2. Nimrit has now spoken out about her decision to leave the Ekta Kapoor-produced film.

Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia revealed her exit from Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 in a first-ever interview with the Hindustan Times. The actress informed the tabloid that after Bigg Boss 16, she needed some time to herself. Nimrit noted that it required a lot of guts for her to realise she needed to be more prepared when entering a film set.

“It wasn’t an easy decision to make, as it was the moment everyone was waiting for. But I wouldn’t have been able to be the best version of me in it, in terms of how I look as well as where my head space was at,” she said.

When asked about her departure from the LSD 2 team, the actress said that it ended on a mutual and cordial one. Nimrit admitted that she was not asked any questions. “Everyone associated with that project was nothing short of outstanding. Ahluwalia remarked, “It was very smooth.”

While LSD 2 did not materialise for Nimrit, the actress is about to embark on a new reality TV journey. She has joined the Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 team. The stunt-based reality show will be presented by Rohit Shetty, a director. She will appear in KKK 14 opposite Shalin Bhanot, Abhishek Kumar, Aditi Sharma, Asim Riaz, Sumona Chakravarti, and others.

The Dibakar Banerjee-directed film ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2’ made roughly Rs 15 lakh on its first day at the box office in India. In a nutshell, the film combines clutter-breaking digital realities. Its cast includes Paritosh Tiwari, Bonita Rajpurohit, and Abhinav Singh.

‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2’ competed alongside Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy’s ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ at the box office. The films were released on April 19. ‘LSD 2’, produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, opened to Rs 15 lakh (0.15 crore) on its first day at the domestic box office.

The teaser for the new film ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2’ (‘LSD 2’) was released on Monday, and whereas the previous installment of the franchise revolved around a sting operation, honour killing, and MMS scandal, this time around, it delves into the intriguing subject of love in the age of the internet.

The plot is driven by the notion of a reality show in which contestants will go to any level to keep morals on the back burner in order to fuel their race on the show.

The teaser, LSD2 ka pehla Dose, features a mix of participants from a reality show judged by Anu Malik and Tusshar Kapoor and hosted by Mouni Roy.

It opens with a transgender character pulling up her undergarments and discussing earning an accolade from the President of India alongside their mother.

The teaser then transports the audience to the set of a reality show, where the transgender lady kisses a male competitor.

The trailer depicts people participating in sexual behaviours and going to whatever limit to get internet clout. Uorfi Javed, a social media sensation, also appears in the teaser.

However, netizens are dissatisfied with the film’s portrayal; many believe that the idea is disgusting. Comments fuel speculation that the film wasn’t received well with the audience.

Personal front–

Munawar Faruqui was born in Gujarat, on 28 January 1992. But his family shifted to Mumbai after their home destroyed during the 2002 communal riots of Gujarat. Sad to say, his mother died when he was only 16 year old.
Subsequently, his father fell sick and Munawar had to take all the responsibilities at the age of 17.

Munawar worked as a utensil salesman before starting his career as a standup comedian.

Munawar was arrested on 1 January, 2021 after his show ended. He was accused of “insulting” Hindu religious sentiments. The intruder was referring not to a joke Faruqui had made on the stage that day, but one that he’d uploaded on YouTube in April 2020.
On February 5, the Supreme Court granted him bail after spending 37 days in jail. As per ‘TIME’, “The Court described the allegations laid out against the comic as ‘vague’ and said that the police hadn’t followed procedure while arresting him. It also stayed the warrant from the police in Uttar Pradesh.”

Popular actor Karan Kundrra has handcuffed himself at his house to promote Kangana Ranaut, Ekta Kapoor’s new reality show “Locked Up”. In his Instagram stories Kundrra said, “I won’t be able to survive this show but maza bahut aaraha hai.”

In the show, Kangana is playing jailer and has jailed 16 controversial personalities including Karanvir Bohra, Poonam Pandey, Nisha Rawal and Munawwar Farooqui for 72 days.
