Doctor Slump: Park Shin Hye goes on blind date to move on from breakup with Park Hyung Sik

JTBC’s Doctor Slump has shared new stills to share a glimpse of Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye’s struggles from the upcoming episode.

The series is a romantic comedy revolving around two former rivals who reunite and unexpectedly become each other’s light during the darkest period of their lives. Doctor Slump features Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye, playing the role Yeo Jung Woo and Nam Ha Neul, respectively. While the former is a plastic surgeon, whose thriving career has witnessed a sudden fall due to a strange medical accident, the latter is a workaholic anesthesiologist suffering from burnout syndrome.

In the newly released stills from the show’s next episode, both doctor suffer the fallout of their breakup and for the first time, since their breakup, they are suffering on their own, instead of together.

First, Yeo Jung Woo returns to the operation theatre for the first time in a long time. Post struggling with PTSD due to his patient’s death and the trauma of being framed for it, he can be clearly seen battling with his nerves as he is back in the front of the operating table.

Meanwhile, Nam Ha Neul can be seen wide awake in the middle of the night, as she cannot sleep, which is possibly because she is missing Yeo Jung Woo post their split.

In the next set of photos, the actress appears to go on a blind date with a mystery man, in order to move on from her breakup. However, considering the frosty vibe of their date, it is evident that neither of them is interested in one another.

Netflix cancels several Korean series from bagging season 2: Doctor Slump, My Demon and more

Netflix has pull the plug on some of the fans favorite Korean drama series. Some of the shows were highly anticipated of second season, but instead it got cancelled by the streaming giant.

While there has been no confirmation regarding the cancellation from the streaming platform, the term ‘limited series’ is evidently enough to prove that the series won’t be returning with season two.

Doctor Two:

The series, starring Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye, has recently premiered on Netflix to explosive ratings. The show’s success is largely attributed to the high popularity of actors, who are reuniting on screen after 11 years. However, despite the initial success, the streamer has labelled the show as ‘limited series’.

My Demon

The series was a hit on Netflix for the first season, however, it won’t be returing for second installment. The reason behind the cancellation of Son Kang and Kim Yoo Jung’s My Demon is not clear, however, reports suggest that it is due to Song Kang’s upcoming military enlistment.

The Bequeathed

The series is a live adaption of a beloved South Korean webtoon, and is directed by Yeon Sang Ho, who is popular for his work on the zombie apocalypse in Train to Busan. This is another addition to the list of cancelled shows.

Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun’s show captured the hearts of audience with its healing theme. The plot revolves around the journey of two childhood sweethearts who were separated by misunderstanding, only to reunite and fall in love, even more deeply.

Captivating The King

The series is a rollercoaster of political maneuvering, betrayal, and unexpected turns as the series is set during the typical Korean period drama mold. It tells the story of a troubled king, played by Yi In, whose life is romantically intertwined with a women, played by Kang Hee Soo, who is driven by revenge.

JTBC’s Doctor Slump shared new behind-the-scenes photos of the drama.

Amidst the growing popularity of the show, the makers have released new BTS pictures showcasing the chemistry between the lead actors. The two pose adorably with bright smiles to showcase their close chemistry.
