‘Dhaakad,’ starring Kangana Ranaut, appeared to be a promising picture, but it failed to do well at the box office. Due to a lack of interest, several screenings of the film have been canceled. And now, according to recent rumors, ‘Dhaakad’ is having difficulty selling its OTT rights.

Normally, OTT and TV rights are sold before a film is released, but the makers of ‘Dhaakad’ waited until it was released to earn a large deal. According to Bollywood Hungama, the producers may not make a significant profit on the film’s OTT and satellite rights sales, and the producers are attempting to entice an OTT behemoth, although the deal has yet to be confirmed. ‘Dhaakad’ had a low opening of Rs 50,00,000. ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, clashed with the action entertainer, which was an instant hit with the audience. ‘Dhaakad’ struggled to reach Rs 2 crore in four days, earning only Rs 1.85 crore.

‘Dhaakad,’ directed by Razneesh Ghai, is an action film that stars Kangana Ranaut as a spy agent. In this film, Arjun Rampal plays the antagonist, while Divya Dutta and Saswata Chatterjee play significant roles.

Dhaakad may have bombed at the box office, but Kangana Ranaut’s brilliance is undeniable. She’s holding a couple of movies in her hands. Tejas is one of them, while Alaukik Desai’s Sita is the other. She’ll be back on track if one of them succeeds. Girish Johar, a trade analyst, tweeted, “Bravo #KanganaRanaut for accepting challenges and shouldering the film alone. Success or Failure is just part of the journey. Again she is tooo big a star to be affected, just one good film. She is one of those few leads who can still mount a film alone!”

Kangana Ranaut should have no trouble finding work in films and shows all around the world, given her untamed and raw talent. She is one of the best in our industry. It would be great to see her involved in a global endeavor. Being away from Bollywood for a bit will also help her forget about her recent bad luck. Even if she dislikes the West, this isn’t a problem because even Asians are producing quality stuff.

Dhaakad, Kangana Ranaut’s next spy thriller, has been generating buzz for quite some time. After all, it’s unusual for an Indian film to feature a femme fatale. When a journalist compared her with Arnold Schwarzenegger. However, Kangana countered testily if it was a compliment. When she was asked about the ‘Dhaakad’ moments in her life.

Kangana replied by saying, “I think everything I have done is ‘Dhaakad’. From running away from my home till now. I continue to do all the ‘Dhaakad’ stuff. Now, I am doing this ‘Dhaakad’ film and I hope the audience will love it.”

Shiddat: Journey Beyond Love

Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, Shiddat: Journey Beyond Love is a romantic drama

It is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan, associated with T-Series and Maddock Films. Radhika Madan, Sunny Kaushal, Mohit Raina, and Diana Penty star in the film.

Shiddat completed the shooting in March 2020 and planned to release in September 2020 but the release was delayed endlessly because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The film will now be released on Disney+ Hotstar on October 1st.

Maidaan

Maidaan is a sports biographical drama set in the golden era of Indian football (1952–62) It is based on the life of the popular football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who managed the Indian football team for 13 years and laid the foundation of modern Indian football. The role of this football doyen is being played by Ajay Devgn in the movie. The supporting cast includes Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh.

Kangana Ranaut plea to be heard at Bombay High Court after the authorities oppose her passport renewal

Kangana Ranaut has approached the Bombay High Court after the passport office reportedly raised objections to her passport renewal due to a FIR filed against her in the Munawar Ali case.The Dhaakad Star’s passport is set to expire on September 15. During this time, the actress had to fly to Budapest for the filming of Dhaakad, which took place from June 15 to August 30, 2021. As a result, she had applied for a passport renewal at the Regional Passport Office. The application is scheduled to be considered by Bombay High Court today.

According to a Times Of India report, the administration objected to the actress’s passport renewal after she revealed a FIR against her in the Munawar Ali case for her social media posts. As a result, the actress approached the Bombay High Court for an order directing the renewal of her passport. She further asked the court to certify that “the magistrate’s order and FIR under review before the HC would not compromise her rights” to renew her passport. Kangana’s lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee, informed the Bombay High Court that when the actress requested for renewal, the authorities said that they were unable to renew it without an appropriate Court order, citing the FIR against the actress.

Kangana’s travel plans were also revealed to the court, with the lawyer stating, “She had a schedule to travel to Budapest, Hungary from the 15th of June, 2021 through the 30th of August, 2021 in order to finish the second shooting schedule of a Hindi Film, Dhaakad.” However, due to a scheduling issue, the actress was unable to attend. The lawyer emphasised that Kangana must be present for the shoot in order to fulfil her commitments, as the production house has made significant investments in the shoot.

The FIR was filed against Kangana and her sister Rangoli Chandel in 2020, saying that their social media messages were intended to incite communal violence. However, when both sisters filed an appeal to dismiss the FIR, the Court gave them both protection from arrest and coercive action by Mumbai Police.
Kangana just returned to Mumbai after spending time with her family in Manali. Since her return, the actress has been spotted in the city a few times. Kangana is now working on Thalaivi, Dhaakad, and Tejas.

On Kangana Ranaut’s birthday, the team of her next film ‘Tejas’ has revealed yet another new look from the film. Kangana looks perfect as she plays the role of an Air Force pilot.

The actor had earlier posted videos of her vigorous work-out sessions in preparing for her role. She had captioned it with the statement, “Jealous crabs will always try and pull us down but we must rise higher and higher!! (after the shoot army training for #Tejas).”

While talking about the movie, Kangana said in a statement “Kangana said in a statement, “Very often the sacrifices made by our brave women in uniform go unnoticed by the nation. Tejas is a film where I have the honour of playing the role of one such Air Force pilot that puts country before self. I hope we instil a sense of patriotism and pride in the youth of today with this film.”

She recently wrapped up the Delhi schedule of the film and seemed excited for the shoot in Rajasthan. Tejas is helmed by debutant director Sarvesh Mewara and is produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP. Her other upcoming movies are Thalaivi, Dhaakad, Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda, and Tejas.

With every project, Divya Dutta proves the versatility and diversity that she is capable of as an actor. Her intriguing first look from the upcoming film Dhaakad takes it a notch higher.

After revealing the look of Kangana Ranaut as Agent Agni and Arjun Rampal as Rudraveer, the makers of the spy action thriller unveiled Divya’s character in the film.

She is seen in a rustic look, wearing a handloom sari teamed with a shirt blouse. The look is accentuated by oxidised silver accessories on the hand and feet, which are further decorated with alta. In one hand, there is a cigarette with smoke. Her unflinching stance in the poster suggests she essays a character that is ruthless and badass in every way. While Divya has essayed a melange of characters — demure, sweet, shrewd, smart and more — in a career of over two decades, this is the first time that she has taken on a role of this nature.

Talking about the role, Divya says, “When I was narrated the part, it got me very excited. This is something that I have not done before and the character is completely different from how I am as a person. I cannot reveal much about my character but all I can say is that to get into the skin of Rohini, it took a lot of focus and preparation mentally as well. I am looking forward to working with Kangana and Arjun and I am truly exhilarated to be a part of a woman-oriented action film. I am sure that Dhaakad will set a trend.”

Dhaakad is directed by Razneesh Ghai and produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai. Presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt Ltd in association with Kamal Mukut, Sohel Maklai Productions and Asylum films. It is set to release on October 1.

Preetisheel Singh rocks 2020

While 2020 has been a trying year for some, it is turning out to be one of the most wonderful years for National Award-winning make-up, hair and prosthetic look designer Preetisheel Singh.

After having five successes (Housefull 4, Chhichhore, Bala, Thackeray, Pati Patni Aur Woh) last year, Preetisheel began 2020 with yet another success in Panga and followed it up with Raat Akeli Hai.

Lined up for this year and next are releases like Yash Raj Films’ Bunty Aur Babli 2, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, the Kangana Ranaut-starrer Dhaakad, Bhansali Productions’ Tuesdays and Fridays, and Southern movies such as South style icon Allu Arjun’s starrer Pushpa, South superstar Vikram’s starrer Cobra and yet another Southern superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s starrer Master.

Spending quality time with her parents and husband Mark Dsouza in her hometown Pathankot during the lockdown, the makeover wiz has continued to design looks for family weddings, and experimented with new prosthetic projects in this time.

But the real bundle of joy in her life may take a month or two to arrive. Preetisheel just revealed on Facebook that she is pregnant and expecting in a few weeks. We wish the gal a rocking future ahead.

For the record, Preetisheel is known for her transformational work in many other Bollywood movies such as Bajirao Mastani, 102 Not Out Mulk and Andhadhun. She also owns and operates India’s premier outfit Da Makeup Lab along with her partner Mark D’souza.
