Terrorists behind explosion in Darbhanga Station appeared in court on Friday

On June 17 a chemical explosion occurred at the Darbhanga Station which was investigated by the NIA team on June 26, and based on the investigation, two terrorists, Imran Malik and Nasir Khan were arrested in Hyderabad on June 30.

The two terrorists appeared in the NIA court on Friday, and with an interrogation with the ATS, it has been alleged that the two terrorists were in touch with Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Taiba. In the NIA reports, the terrorists planned to explode the train and cause huge fatality, there was a glass bottle kept inside the parcel which was kept inside of the train by the two brothers, the blast occurred when the parcel were being taken off the train and the explosion occurred on the platform instead of inside the train, which led to the investigation by NIA.

It had been said that Imran Malik AKA Imran Khan and his brother Mohammad Nasir Khan had planned to carry out terrorist activities across the country by terrorists from Lakshkar-e-Taiba.

Imran and Nasir had packed the explosives in a cloth parcel, the package had been sent to Datbhanga from Secunderabad on the Darbhanga Express, the motive was to cause massive loss of life and property by setting the bandwagon on fire.

After the arrest of the two terrorists, they sought help from the UP Police and based on the information provided by the NIA, police arrested Haji Salim and Kafil Ahmed who were residents if Kairana and turned them over to the NIA in the case of package explosion at Darbhanga.

Nasir Khan was arrested in 2012 in Hyderabad and was trained with Lakshar Terrorists when he traveled to Pakistan to manufacture IED’s from chemicals. Whereas Imran was in contact with Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were apprehended by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with the Darbhanga railway station blast in Bihar earlier this month.

According to an official statement, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two major suspects – Imran Malik and Mohd Nasir Khan – in Hyderabad after examining the crime scene and documenting important evidence from the investigation.

The accused was charged on June 17 at the Railway Police Station in Darbhanga District. The parcel had been scheduled for delivery at Secunderabad and had arrived in Secunderabad- Darbhanga Express.

Two LeT terrorists were apprehended in Hyderabad.

The case was re-registered by the NIA after an investigation, and the suspects were detained on June 30 in Hyderabad.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) claimed in a statement that early investigations and examinations of the accused suspects revealed a trans-national conspiracy concocted by Laskar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives to carry out terror activities across India and inflict widespread death and property damage.

The accused were following orders from LeT handlers in Pakistan.

Mohd Nasir Khan and his brother Imran Malik made an incendiary IED, placed it in a package of cloth, and boarded a long-distance train from Secunderabad to Darbhanga with it.

Laskar-e-Taiba had given him training in Pakistan

They planned to set fire to a train that was already moving, resulting in massive casualties and property damage.

Mohd Nasir Khan visited Pakistan in 2012 and received training from LeT handlers on how to build IEDs out of locally available chemicals, according to the investigation agency.

The two terrorists communicated with their masters over encrypted networks. After obtaining transit from the competent court, the arrested accused would be brought before the Special NIA Court in Patna.

This comes after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended a major conspirator in the Bengaluru riots case.

Syed Abbas, the accused, is the Social Democratic Party of India’s Nagawara block president (SDPI).
