Actress Evelyn Sharma tied the knot with her best friend, saying there’s no better feeling than this

The Bollywood actress who made her debut in movies like ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Dewaani, Saaho’ tied the knot with Tushaan Bhindi, an Australian-based dental surgeon in a ‘perfect old school style’ wedding in Brisbane, Australia on May 15. The couple had got engaged in 2019 in the month of October.

In an interview the actress explained how she had to postpone their plans of a great Indian wedding due to the ongoing pandemic and later shift the plan to a small intimate wedding with only close friends and family. The groom, Tushaan also talked about it in the interview and said that some of their close friends and family members including the actress’s mother couldn’t attend the wedding due to the pandemic and hence they are looking forward for a grand reception once the situation gets back to normal.

The actress Evelyn Sharma shared the first picture from her intimate wedding on Instagram with caption ‘forever’ which amazed her fans as she tied the knot a month ago. The actress is seen to be wearing a beautiful white gown with the groom, Tushaan in a blue suit. The picture has received immense love from her fans and many Bollywood celebs.

Akshay Kumar is set to team again with his ‘Mission Mangal’ director

Akshay Kumar is set to group once more with his ‘Mission Mangal’ chief Jagan Shakti for an action-drama film inspired by true events. Kumar and Shakti to begin with worked together on the 2019 show film ‘Mission Mangal’, propelled by the story of researchers at the Indian Space Research Association (ISRO), who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission, India’s to begin with the interplanetary expedition. The new film is additionally inspired by true events.

“Usually an action-drama film with a sprint of science. It is set in current times. It is propelled by true events. He will play the part of law authorization officer,” the source added. Vijay Varma opens up about his journey till ‘Darlings’

Actor Vijay Varma has been stunning the audiences with his stellar performances in movies such as ‘Gully Boy’, ‘Super 30’ etc. He even made his presence known in the OTT with ‘A Suitable Boy’ and ‘Mirzapur’. Now, the actor is all excited about his next venture, ‘Darlings’, where he will share the screen with Alia Bhatt.

He recently talked about it during an interview with ETimes. Vijay talked about going from his performance in ‘A Suitable Boy’ to his Imtiaz Ali’s character in ‘She’.

“On the first day of lockdown ‘She’ released. I think I am celebrating an anniversary of that now. I am thoroughly enjoying my time on OTT, doing nothing but yet our work is out there for people to watch. It is so unreal” he said.

He added that even though he knows that the theatre experience is different, he likes both platforms. Vijay also said that he can see the audience react with enthusiasm for movies on the OTT too. When talking about his family, Vijay said that his parents are very simple.

“They watch my shows only when I show it to them. But one thing that happened recently was that when I went home for Diwali, people gathered outside my home to catch a glimpse of me, and all my relatives made sure that no one came too close to me without a mask. They were acting like my bouncers,” he added.

Talking about Alia Bhatt, he says that she is very sincere and dedicated to her work. He also revealed how he felt about Shah Rukh Khan, who will be producing ‘Darlings’.

“He is a national darling! I don’t know how I am going to feel when I meet him as a producer-actor. I might just be a little 15-year-old girl around him,” Vijay said.

Amrita Rao shares her journey in Bollywood, on ‘Masti’ completing its 17 glorious years

Masti is a Indian adult comedy film. Masti’ is undoubtedly one of the most successful films we have in the genre. Masti is directed by Indra Kumar, and starring Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and Vivek Oberoi in the lead roles with Lara Dutta, Amrita Rao, Tara Sharma and Genelia D’Souza as female leads and Ajay Devgn in a supporting role. The film was released in 2004, and received positive response from critics, and also managed to do well at the box office, turning out to be a moderate success at the box office. Masti was also amongst the low number of Bollywood adult comedy movies at the time of its release.

As the film clocks 17 years today, ‘Etimes’ got in touch with Amrita Rao, who was one of the leading ladies of the film.

In an exclusive interview with ‘ETimes’, Amrita shared her memories and experience of being a part of the film, the fun she had with her co-stars, and more.

When asked about, how does she look back at the film Masti today, after it has completed its 17 years, the actress said, “Wow, some films are so picture perfect that you don’t want to change even a single frame and ‘Masti’ is definitely one such magical film. It’s funny and its relevance is simply timeless. There were many sequels thereafter but none of them was even close to ‘Masti’.”

The actress also talked about her initial reaction when she was first offered the movie. The actress revealed, “Director Inder Kumar ji and Ashok Thakeria ji, the producer had seen me in ‘Ishq Vishk’ and approached me for this one. I was 16-years-old back then. My earliest memory is of the narration given by Milap Zaveri, which was super hilarious. I was very happy to jump into the shoes of this hyper-possessive wife Anchal aka ‘Satellite’ who is always keeping a track of her husband’s whereabouts.”

Talking about the kind of reactions she recieved back from the audience, the actress further added, “I remember after ‘Masti’ released, wherever I went girls and guys used to see me and go, “Jaanu you love me no?” referring to my signature dialogue from the film. I used to look at them and laugh back. It was a sign of genuine popularity. The film also became my first silver jubilee film!”

The actress also revealed about who was the prankster on the sets of ‘Masti’. Amrita said, “Reteish Deshmukh was very shy and quiet back then; the pranksters clearly were Vivek Oberai and Aftab Shivdasani. I recall on my first day of workshop, which was even before we all went on set. I was shooting for ‘Main Hoon Na’ and had reached the workshop a bit late because I was at another rehearsal. As soon as I entered the reading room, Vivek started clapping and the entire cast followed; they clapped loudly on my entry just as to embarrass me of having entered late!”

She also shared an anecdote,”I was shooting for ‘Masti’ and ‘Main Hoon Na’ in the same year and I recall there was a week when I had to do a double shift and I shot day and night for 72 hours without a break, hopping from one set to another.

I also recall that one of the days there was a massive date overlap and both Farah Khan and Indu ji required me to be on their sets at the same time. That day was such a tough call and then Mr Shah Rukh Khan kindly called and requested Inder Kumar ji to adjust the shoot date for me, and Induji was sweet enough to allow me.”

When asked about her comeback, Amrita said, “Well, I couldn’t take up Mr Boney Kapoor’s offer of debuting on the OTT platform only because I was in my seventh month of pregnancy and in the last few months I couldn’t take up many offers while being a hands-on mom to an infant. However, now that my baby will be six months old in May, I am relieved and ready to start working anytime now.”

Amrita made her screen debut in Ab Ke Baras (2002), for which she was also nominated for the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award in 2003 and she was widely recognized from her role in the romance film Vivah (2006).

He says, “I wish I could have done more movies with my dad.

After a lull in his career, Bobby mad.e a comeback in Bollywood with Race 3, and he won immense appreciation for his role in MX Player’s much-acclaimed, popular show, Aashram recently. Besides his father, Apne 2 will also feature his brother Sunny and nephew Karan.

” Bobby says, “I think it is always special to work with your family members. This time, we also have Karan in the film. I remember, the first time I faced the camera with my father, it was for Apne. I was staring at him as he stood in front of me. I looked at him as my father. I was getting a little confused about how to react on camera. Seeing that I was nervous, he took me aside and asked me to relax. He also told me to think of us as two mere characters and that changed it all.”

He further adds, “I would have liked to do an action film with my dad since he has this He-Man image associated with him. An emotional drama with action in it will be a good option, too.”
