Railtel Corporation secures Rs 1,687 crore order from Bihar Education Project Council

Railtel Corporation of India has announced a significant achievement by securing a major work order from the State Project Director of the Bihar Education Project Council. The order, valued at ₹1,68,74,99,997 (including tax), is aimed at enhancing education quality in selected government schools across Bihar under the PM SHRI initiative.

The contract involves the engagement of an implementation partner for the education quality enhancement project, which is a domestic service order. Railtel is expected to execute the project by 30th September 2026. The order was officially received on 18th March 2026 at 18:00.

The company clarified that there is no interest from the promoter group in the entity awarding the order, and the contract does not fall within related party transactions.
