Bharti Singh-Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s lawyer reveals how his strategy was diverse from Aryan Khan’s case: ‘I got jail custody’

Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, is yet to get relief in the cruise ship drugs case. The star kid is shifted to the Arthur Road jail despite ample efforts to get bail. Recently advocate Ayaz Khan, who had handled cases such as Fardeen Khan’s drugs case, to the current Bharti Singh-Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s case, has opened up about how he managed to keep his clients away from the bars.

However, citing the example of Bharti-Haarsh’s case, Ayaz said he had ensured that the couple went in jail custody instead of the custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). It is reported that Ayaz said the NCB had found 80 gms of contraband in Bharti and Haarsh’s office and home which was substantially more than what Aryan’s friend Arbaaz Merchant had on him.

He also added, “They were produced in court on Sunday, I immediately applied for jail custody, although the NCB wanted to take custody. Not for Bharti but they were insisting on Haarsh’s custody. They could’ve investigated a lot through Harsh, so I made sure I got them jail custody on the first day so that they are out of NCB custody. Getting them into JC meant we could get bail the next day, now the case is pending.”

Opening up about why he went for that option, he stated, “because you don’t know what angles can open up in the investigation. Sometimes you can fabricate evidence, sometimes you can plant evidence, sometimes you can knockout statements. Right or wrong can only be proved after the trial.”

Comedian Bharti Singh was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) yesterday after the seizure of cannabis (ganja) at her Andheri residence in Mumbai. Following her arrest, earlier today her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa was also arrested for the same. The couple were produced in the Quilla court Sunday afternoon after which they were sent to judicial custody till December 4th. Bharti Singh will be taken to Kalyan Jail while Haarsh will be taken to Taloja prison.

Earlier today, NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede confirmed Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s arrest and stated that the couple had been arrested for consuming ganja.

Along with Bharti and Haarsh, two other drug peddlers were presented in the Quilla court. While the couple was sent to judicial custody till 4th December, the peddlers were sent to police custody.

Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaahave applied for their bail which will be heard on Monday.

Yesterday the NCB officials searched Bharti’s house and office after a tip-off. It was reported that they found 86.5 gms of cannabis from both places.

The press release by the NCB stated, “Both Ms Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiya accepted consumption of ganja. Bharti Singh was placed under arrest under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act…”

Comedian Bharti Singh has been arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). According to NDTV’s report, the comedian was arrested after being interrogated for several hours. Earlier today Bharti’s Mumbai home was raided by NCB who recovered a ‘small quantity of cannabis’. As per the NCB officials quoted by PTI, Bharti Singh’s name emerged during questioning of a drug peddler and hence her house was raided. The officials also shared that they searched two other places in Mumbai.

According to ANI, NCB raided both the production house and house of the comedian. It is also reported that officials found 86.5 gms of Ganja from the two places. Bharti and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa have both accepted to the consumption of drugs. While Bharti has been arrested, Haarsh is still being examined.

The anti-drugs agency has been conducting searches after many celebrities came under their radar in connection with the drug probe triggered by the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Raids have been carried out at the flats of Sanam Johar, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal and producer Firoz Nadiadwala.

After the raid at his house, Arjun and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades were summoned for questioning. Gabriella’s brother Agisialos Demetriades has been arrested twice over alleged drugs links. Talking about the substances found at his house, Arjun said, “I am fully cooperating with the investigation. I have nothing to do with drugs. The medicine found at my residence was prescribed. The prescription has been found and handed over.”

TV couple Sanam Johar and Abigail Pande were also booked for drug consumption by NCB. It was reported that Abigail took the names of Sara Khan and Angad Hasija during questioning.

On the work front, Bharti is one of the most popular comedians in the TV industry. She is currently part of The Kapil Sharma Show as ‘Lalli’ and hosted reality show ‘India’s Best Dancer’ with her husband.

Bharti Singh and husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s flat gets raided by NCB

The Narcotics Control Bureau has reportedly raided the flat of popular comedian Bharti Singh and husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa. The raid is being carried out at three different locations in Mumbai. Andheri, Lokhandwala and Versova being the prime suspected locations.

Bharti and Harsh got married in the year 2017 and ever since then have been a part of shows like ‘Khatra Khatra’, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, ‘Nach Baliye’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’. Haarsh is a producer and a writer, while Bharti is currently a part of The Kapil Sharma Show.
