Bajel Projects secures major order for 400kV transmission line under Bellary–Davanagere scheme

Bajel Projects Limited has announced a significant achievement with the acquisition of a major order for a 400kV transmission line under the Bellary–Davanagere RE evacuation scheme. The project, awarded by PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited on behalf of Bellary Davanagere Power Transmission Limited, is a crucial component of a broader transmission system strengthening initiative aimed at integrating additional renewable energy capacities of 0.25 GW at Davanagere and 2.75 GW at Bellary.

The order involves the construction of approximately 70 kilometres of a 400kV (Quad) double-circuit transmission line, connecting the Bellary Substation to the Davanagere Substation. This infrastructure is pivotal for evacuating renewable power into the national grid, thereby supporting India’s energy transition priorities.

Bajel Projects Limited, a prominent entity in the Power Transmission and Distribution EPC sector and part of the Bajaj Group, has categorised this project as a ‘Major Order’, which falls within the ₹200 crore to ₹300 crore financial band, inclusive of GST.
