Bajaj Electricals announces Rs 500 crore fund-raising plan and CFO appointment

Bajaj Electricals Limited has outlined a strategic plan to raise up to Rs 500 crore through the issuance of securities, including unsecured non-convertible debentures and commercial papers. This decision, made during the company’s board meeting on May 15, 2026, is aimed at capitalising on favourable market conditions and will be subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming 87th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for August 6, 2026.

The board also declared a final dividend of Rs 3.00 per share, maintaining the previous year’s rate, in celebration of the Bajaj Group’s centenary. This dividend, representing 150% of the face value of Rs 2 per share, will be distributed to shareholders post-approval at the AGM, with the record date set for July 17, 2026.

In a significant management change, Bajaj Electricals appointed Ms. Ashween Anand as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel, effective May 16, 2026. This appointment follows the resignation of Mr. Suketu Shah, the Interim CFO, who stepped down at the close of business on May 15, 2026.

The company’s board meeting, which commenced at 2:00 PM and concluded at 4:25 PM, also saw the approval of the audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and year ending March 31, 2026. The audit reports, free from any qualifications, were presented with an unmodified opinion.
