Priyanka Chopra snapped at her dad, forcing her mom to send her to boarding school ‘To learn discipline’

Priyanka Chopra, a well-known Bollywood actress shares her past memories when she forced her mom to send her to the boarding school.

Priyanka Chopra has Daddy’s Lil girl tattooed on her wrist and continues to remain close to her mom Madhu Chopra after his demise. But as a kid, Priyanka had once left her mom so upset with her behavior that she decided to send her to boarding school.

The actor confessed after the birth of her brother Siddharth Chopra how she couldn’t get past her “jealousy over all the attention he was now getting” and acted out.

She shares an incident, where she writes in her book: “One evening, my parents and I were watching television together in their bedroom. I was lying on my tummy and snacking on some chips, and Dad asked me to pass them. ‘No,’ I responded, without taking my eyes off the screen. Dad asked again, and I said, ‘No,’ this time more firmly. And then, as if ‘no’ wasn’t bad enough, I added: ‘Can’t you see that I’m busy!’ Which was a variation of what Mom used to say: Give me time. Can’t you see that I’m busy? I’ll get back to you. Mom looked at my father, then at me, and then at my father again. ‘Mimi needs to learn discipline,’ she said.”

The actor said that her mom “panicked, wondering where this disrespectful, spoiled child had come from” when she saw Priyanka talking back to her father, echoing her very own words. ”

The actor said, “Dad wasn’t concerned, but for Mom, it must have been the last straw after many months of enduring my tantrums and attention-seeking behavior.”

Priyanka’s father Dr. Ashok Chopra died of cancer in 2013. He was 62. Both her parents served in the army as doctors.

On Tuesday, Priyanka Chopra Jonas commemorated the birth anniversary of her late father, Ashok Chopra. The actress posted a photo of the cake on her Instagram stories. She is currently in the United Kingdom working on her next project. She was incredibly close to her father and frequently posted images of him on social media. The actress also included the names of her mother and brother in the photo. Nevertheless, she regularly keeps her admirers up to date on her personal life.

Priyanka uploaded a cake photo with the words “Happy Birthday Papa” scribbled on it. On June 10, 2013, her father died in Mumbai. She even has a tattoo that reads, ‘Daddy’s lil girl.’ Her most recent selfie photo drew a slew of responses. One person noted, “Perfection,” while another said, “Absolutely gorgeous.” Nick Jonas also left a comment with a red heart. The pair recently reconciled when Nick visited London. They are frequently spotted together.

Priyanka Chopra, who celebrates her 39th birthday on Sunday, had once conceded about the similarities between husband Nick Jonas and her late father, Dr Ashok Chopra. In her 2019 interview with Mumbai Mirror, the actress spoke about the resemblance of her late father in Nick Jonas. She said, “The more I get to know him, yes. I feel I have married someone who is my dad’s chhavi. Not just the music, they are both very stable, solid, rooted and dependable.”

Pouring more and more praises and gratitude on her husband and American singer Nick Jonas, she said, “(Nick) is the most considerate man I’ve ever met. In everything he does, Nick puts me first. It’s wonderful to wake up every day and know that there is this person who thinks about you even before you think about yourself. That’s eventually what you want, someone who loves you like a hug.”

Priyanka had a powerful and an intense relationship with father late Ashok Chopra, who passed away after battling cancer. A year after her father died, the actress even got ‘Daddy’s lil girl’ inked on her right wrist.

Meanwhile, from early this year, Priyanka has been in UK. The ‘Quantico’ actress had wrapped the shoot of her forthcoming Hollywood film ‘Text For You’ and then hopped into the filming of her upcoming series ‘Citadel’. The actress is placed alongside ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Richard Madden in the show.
