Zen Technologies has launched India’s first AI-powered, fully integrated anti-drone system, marking a significant advancement in the nation’s defence technology. The system was unveiled at the North Tech Symposium 2026 in Prayagraj, coinciding with the anniversary of Operation Sindoor. This modular counter-drone system is designed to address the increasing threat of drone warfare, which has become a critical factor in modern conflict zones.

The system offers a comprehensive anti-drone platform with vehicle-mounted, man-portable, and fixed configurations, providing both soft and hard kill solutions for hostile drone threats. It features full-spectrum frequency dominance, covering 70 MHz to 12 GHz, enabling effective detection and disruption of diverse drone communication channels. The system’s extended surveillance capability allows for a detection range of over 15 km, with the ability to track up to 100 drones simultaneously, making it effective against swarm attacks.

Zen Technologies has integrated a layered neutralisation architecture into the system, including RF jamming, GNSS jamming/spoofing, remote-controlled weapon systems, air defence guns, and kamikaze interceptors. A high-sensitivity indigenous radar with a range of up to 20 km enhances the system’s ability to detect smaller drones early. At its core, the system utilises an intelligent Data Fusion & Command Centre, which integrates inputs from multiple sensors and applies advanced algorithms for precise threat classification, tracking, and response.

Chairman and Managing Director of Zen Technologies, Mr. Ashok Atluri, highlighted the importance of adapting to drone warfare, stating, “Operation Sindoor exposed a hard truth: drone warfare is redefining the battlefield, and nations that fail to adapt will remain vulnerable. Our AI-powered anti-drone platform, developed under the IDDM framework with full intellectual property ownership, is a decisive response to this shift.”

The platform’s multi-configuration deployment capability allows for seamless integration across various environments. The vehicle-mounted configuration is designed for rapid deployment and convoy protection, while the man-portable configuration is suitable for dismounted soldiers during patrols and counter-insurgency operations. The fixed configuration provides continuous surveillance and defence coverage for critical infrastructure and high-value assets.
