The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued an official notice regarding technical glitches reported during the Class 12 post-result application process after several students faced incorrect fee deductions while applying for scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets.

According to the board, the issue occurred during online submissions for obtaining scanned copies of answer books under the post-result activities process following the declaration of CBSE Class 12 board examination results. Students and parents had reported multiple complaints regarding excess deductions, failed transactions and mismatches in payment records while accessing the online portal.

In its latest clarification, CBSE acknowledged that a technical issue affected the fee collection system for some applications submitted through the official portal. The board said corrective measures were being taken and assured students that refunds and pending balance payment updates would be processed accordingly.

The issue surfaced shortly after the board opened applications for scanned answer copies, verification of marks and re-evaluation processes for Class 12 students. Several candidates claimed that payment amounts were deducted multiple times from their bank accounts despite incomplete or unsuccessful submissions.

Some students also reported receiving incomplete payment confirmations, while others said the portal displayed different payable amounts during the transaction process. Complaints quickly spread across social media platforms, prompting the board to issue a formal response.

In the notice, CBSE stated that students who were charged incorrectly due to the technical glitch would receive refunds after verification of transaction details. The board also said that candidates whose applications remained incomplete because of payment discrepancies would be allowed to complete the process once balance payment adjustments were updated in the system.

Officials said the technical teams were working to resolve all pending issues and restore normal functioning of the portal. Students were advised to regularly monitor the official CBSE website for updated payment status and revised instructions.

The post-result activities process is considered crucial for students seeking transparency in evaluation or planning to apply for re-checking and re-evaluation of their board examination marks. Under CBSE rules, students first apply for photocopies or scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets before proceeding with verification of marks or re-evaluation requests.

This year’s technical issue has raised concerns among students and parents regarding the smooth functioning of online examination services during the high-pressure post-result period.

CBSE urged students and parents not to panic and assured them that no eligible application would be rejected because of payment-related technical problems. The board said all genuine cases would be reviewed and resolved systematically.

The Class 12 board examination results were declared earlier this month, with lakhs of students across India now participating in the post-result verification and re-evaluation process.
