Ali Merchant tied the knot with Andleeb Zaidi on the 2nd of November 2023. Post their wedding, the actors hosted a reception party for their peers and industry friends. For the special occasion, Ali opted for a black sherwani with golden embroidery. While Andleeb stunned in a beautiful red and white lehenga.

The Dream Girl star Ayushman Khurrana also attended the reception party and blessed the couple. The actor donned a green mirror work kurta and pyjama. He took to his Instagram account and shared a story with a picture. The image was a selfie taken by Ayushman with the newlyweds.

He captioned it by writing, “Shaadi Mubarak @alimercchant @andleeb zaidi”
Archana Gautam made an appearance at the function. She was seen wearing a black saree with golden borders and matching bangles. Other celebrities such as Danish Alfaaz, Parth Samthaan, and Ken Ferns also graced the event with their presence.

Ali Merchant and Andleeb Zaidi got married in their hometown Lucknow on the 2nd of November. For their wedding, the couple opted for white traditional outfits. They even shared many such snaps from wedding festivities on their social media accounts.

Poonam Pandey and Ali Merchant are declared to be at the bottom in the most recent episode of Lock Upp. While many of the contestants are rooting for her, they are unsure if she will make it. Poonam and Ali are waiting for Kangana to make her decision.

Kangana informs Poonam that many people, including several sponsors, believe her time is over, but she disagrees. Poonam, she believes, has given the programme some internet-breaking moments and deserves better.

But first, she questions Poonam if she actually wishes to give herself another opportunity or if she wants to give up the game. Poonam informs her that she wishes to remain in the game and prove herself. Kangana then informs her that she expected this from her.

Kangana turns to Ali and asks whether he agrees that he hasn’t contributed anything to the programme. She makes fun of him for being harmless, pleasant, and uninterested in the game. Ali who is in agreement with her, jokingly said, “I am a good a** and not a bada**.”

Host Kangana Ranaut, tells to Prince let’s begin with the “kaali powder”, just call that person to whom you want to apply the kaali powder on. Prince calls the name of Munawar Faruqui. The Lock Upp reality programme, which was funded by Ekta Kapoor, is in its eighth week, and things have gotten serious at this point. One of the most perplexing instances in the most recent show was when Azma Fallah age-shamed Ali Merchant in the face.

For a long time, Azma’s lack of interest in and desire to perform housework has been a point of contention in the programme. In the most recent episode, something similar sparked an argument between her and Ali when Azma age-shamed Ali.

When Ali approached Azma and requested her to finish her cleaning responsibilities in the bathroom area, she refused and referred to him as ‘Do takke ka aadmi.’ She also stated that he didn’t do anything around the house and that he shouldn’t be ordering her about.

When Ali informed her that he had finished emptying and cleaning the dustbins, she suggested that he clean them by licking them next time.
A verbal squabble erupted between them. In the course of the argument, Ali referred to Azma’s mouth as a “gutter.” In response to this, she said that she doesn’t want to disrespect “Uncles.”

Ali and Azma continued repeating the phrases “gutter mouth” and “buddha” for each other. Then Ali said to her, “Mujhe age shaming se fark nahi padta. Main aur Kangana ek age ke hain.”

In reply to this, Azma then clarified, “I did not say this because of your age, I said so because of the way you walk.”

Munawar feels that whoever is the least favorite of the audience and cannot do much for the game. The one who is very weak for the game and cannot contribute in the game, that much and doesn’t show their potential as much as how others are giving, should be directed out from the jail. Munawar says that everything was same for Ali too. Munawar says that “he is a very good friend of mine, and I really love him.”

His potential of him towards the game which he should show every time in the game is not up to the mark. Munawar says that he also helps him to perform well but there is no such effect on him. Munawar says that everyone is so true towards each other, and it is even same for me. The moment I see at the bottom three I see the name of Ali and he puts his dislike button for Ali. In the latest episode Shivam Sharma reveals his investment plans after the show, earlier seen saying he’s gained weight and will take care of his body outside the show says, “Ab to paise kamane laggaya hai Shivam Sharma, tab to bhai Papa the.” Later on adds “insan celebrity banagaya hai bhai, ab shareer pe kharcha hoga saara, Investment! Idhar udhar har jagah investment hone wala hai bhai”.
Ali Merchant adds, “ ab to log kharcha karenge”.
Shivam Sharma then goes on to say he’s going to invest in every part of the body from tip to toe says, “har jagah investment hone waki hai bhai danth se leke, baalon tak mai kya kya karwane wala hun”.

Ali locks up Azma inside the washroom when she was in. Anjali even says Ali that, “bacchi hai who rehne de.” Even after locking her up inside the washroom, Ali switched off the lights too. Azma starts to shout from inside and tells to switch on the lights.

Ali stands outside the washroom, as Azma starts to say, “Switch on karo light.” Ali dosen’t wants to listen anything from her as he puts his fingers inside his ears. She’s always been playing against the wildcards. In the recent episode of Lock upp Payal Rohatgi claims and concludes to Ali Merchant that his contribution for the house isvery lesser than the rest.
Ali Merchant instantly replies saying, “because I can’t cook”. Payal Rohatgi then adds, “Even in cleaning and everything you’re just…, like that only….” Later says it’s her conclusion can be right or wrong.
She slams Ali Merchant saying, “Do bartan karne hai, pehli baar tum itne hafto ke baad bartan kar rahe ho….

The fights and the misunderstandings between Munawar Faruqui and Poonam Pandey seems to get messier day by day. The disputes between them are creating a lot of tension and drama for the blue team. Poonam shouts at the top of hat voice and says, “What is the group all about, there is no such group.” Poonam even says that “she was just the part of the group, and now people are creating disputes with her which is leading into fights.”

Poonam goes on to blame Munawar for the disputes that took place. No one comes up to help her during that time. She says that no one is responsible enough to cook and clean and have the food. In Lock Upp, were fighting among each other and smashing each other is a very common thing. This time contestants were seen to lighten up their mood by playing some games with each other. The name of their game is buzz game. The members playing this game are Poonam Pandey, Zeeshan Khan, Ali Merchant, Nisha Rawal, Anjali Arora, and Munawar Faruqui. The game is all about saying buzz after the multiple numbers. The game seems to get much more entertaining, and the participants of the game enjoy it a lot while performing the game.

While in between performing the game the players at times seem to forget the multiples of the numbers and create the buzz. Munawar says that “abhi seven hua abhi fir se kar.” Then they again restart the game and start to count the numbers. Then again Nisha forgets to count the numbers and misplaces the multiples. When Azma’s hand got injured while performing the task, Ali told her to go to the hospital, saying, “To baahar chali ja na. Doctor se ilaaj kra le,” to which Azma replied, “Jaiga to tu bacchu.”

Ali on this said, “Upar wala hai mere saath.”

Azma then taunted Ali and indirectly posses question on his credibility by saying, “Sara ki wajha se aa gya yha pe, warna to tereko koi poochta bhi nhi.”

A bit irritated Ali then humbly replied to her by saying, “Hai na? Acchi baat hai, isliye wo chali gyi or mai aa gya.”

Azma then again scratches his old wounds why telling, ‘Wo bandi to tujhe pooch bhi nhi rahi this,” to which he replied, “Bilkul sahi. Mujhe fark bhi nhi padta.”

Azma then starts telling him that he is “Ex” continuously. Ali then said, “Main chal hi rha hu redemption ke raaste.”

Azma again repeated herself that he is Ex and said “Isiliye to tu X hai, tere saath koi nhi reh sakta,” to which Ali calmly replies, “Hai na! Hain na! Sahi baat hai isiliye to mai bahut khush hu.”

Azma then raises questions on his personality, “Tu waapus se bhi krega na to X hu banega, aisi personality ke saath,” to which Ali replies, “Koi stress nahi! Koi stress nahi!”

Azma then said, “Copy paste personality ke saath to tu X hi ban jaega.”

Ali on Azma’s attitude said, “Main lekin dua karta hu ki tere saath aisa na ho. Mai dua karta hu ki tere saath aisa kabhi na ho. He added, “Mai to wo pain sehen kr chuka tha. Theek hai! Lekin koi or nahi kr paega.”

To which Azma replied, “Upar wala tumhari dua qubool kr le.”

Ali then said, “Exactly! Mai yahi dua karta hu. Meri soch saaf hai or meri neeyat hai. Isliye teri soch saaf pta chalti hai.”

Zeeshan then came in between this conversation and tried to calm down Ali.

Ali then without saying anyone’s name, targeted Azma by saying, “Mujhe daya aati hai aisi soch waale logon pr… Pr tere se ye expected nahi tha. Aaj ke zamane me in cheezon se koi fark nahi padta hai. Life me na philosophy match honi chaiye. Theek hai na!”

She takes the things and belongings of others and displeases them into another position. This then leads into a huge verbal fight among the contestants. Azma took the hairdryer of Anjali and kept it in another place. On seeing this Anjali gets furious and starts finding her hairdryer. During the “Sharirik Shraam”, the contestants are given the task of making “Ginniyaan”. While performing the given task the contestants are seen pouncing and attacking upon each other. Both the teams have started being rude to each other as they show their anger while performing the task. The members of both teams are trying to block each other from performing the task. The jail has been messed up during the performance of the task and the contestants are even trying to trash each other during the task. With this task, the violent side of the contestants is seen. The contestants are seen shouting, throwing water and are pushing each other. This is leading to a very violent situation inside the jail.

Zeeshan is seen attacking Karanvir and Shivam. During the argument between Zeeshan and Shivam Karanvir is trying to make the situation cool. Zeeshan even tells Shivam “Gaadh dunga idhar hi” as he gets very rude and violent. The things eventually get messed up as Poonam Pandey is seen shouting at Ali Merchant. On the Judgement Day episode of the reality show ‘Lock Upp’ Mandana Karimi wanted to share an incident that she and Saisha Shinde faced in the washroom, though Saisha has been locked out of the show, Mandana does not want to keep this incident under wraps. Therefore, Mandana goes on to say about Ali, “There is something which happened in the bathroom which Saisha Shinde and I am aware of. It is so disgusting; it is bigger than a ‘kachra.’ When you share a space with so many women, there is only one bathroom for people, and you do things like that, it says so much about your personality.”

When Mandana asks for a private space to talk about the issue that took place Kangana adds, “You have put an idea in viewer’s mind and you are putting allegations on him. People will think the worst of him. Ali is ok with you telling it out in the open. We have cameras in the bathroom area too, if you are putting allegations on him, we will verify it.” After this, she had no other option but to call out Ali in open.

Mandana went forward saying, “So, the other day, I went to the washroom first. After me, Saisha had to go to the washroom. She was really upset the whole day. After me, when she went to the washroom, there was only one person who used the bathroom… It was Ali. And someone mas****ed. And it was… there.”
Ali Merchant asked about the time when this thing happened and said, “Can somebody please check the timing? This is the most disgusting thing ever seen yaar.”

As both, the contestants were getting into the argument about what happened Kangana stopped both of them and tells Ali that she will address this. Kangana then said, “Look, when you all share a house together, there is only one toilet. I am no insaaf ka taraazu. For me, if you encounter anybody’s fluid, be it saliva, spit, nasal, or sexual genitals, aap uss insaan ko request Karo to clean it. Even if it is sh*t stain. You are saying he has traumatized you. Your mental stability is shaken. This is your judgment. Isme kitni Sach hai hai, we have to give the benefit of doubt to Ali. There are so many contestants using the bathroom and you are only targeting him; I can also say this is a kind of harassment. Also, whatever is said and done, mas****ion is something people openly discuss. Contestants are living here for so many days, I thought Ali might have seriously done something. You are doing so much of ho-halla around it. It doesn’t work like that Mandana. We are all adults; we all know what body fluids are.”

Kangana also advised Mandana to stop shaming people. To this Mandana says, “I don’t know why whatever I am saying it’s being taken as if I am shaming someone. I am trying to have a conversation.” Kangana simply replies, “You are trying to have a conversation, but I have to see a democratic way for all the people to exist. We use a public restroom and there is so much stink and things we see and think of the person using the bathroom before us. But the stink might already be there. So, you have to give the benefit of the doubt.”

“Goa mai, recently, a few days back before coming here, we were in goa. I was with my friends and my sister he came to me and started talking to me.” I said,” Ali please I respect you to not.” Then she explained how her friends got really angry and asked Ali to get out of the club.” Sara explained.

Sara tells Karanvir that now when he entered the show he again came and stood in front of me and repeated this incident and tried to talk to her. He even mentions that Ali is the one who calls and messages her, she said that she respects that he does this but has not said anything regarding this to him yet.

But when he said that Sara’s friends treated him badly, she was seen saying that “of course, yes, my friends, nobody wants you around me.”

The couple got separated after two months of getting married, they met in the 4th season of Bigg Boss and grabbed a lot of attention then. The reason for their separation was not known to a lot but in recent episodes of the show Lock Upp, talking to Karanvir Bohra, Sara Khan spoke about their divorce and claimed Ali Merchant cheated on her many times.
