For tax auditing, M/s. R S Sanghai & Associates has been re-appointed. Ajanta Pharma Q4 Results: Revenue jumps 21.5% YoY to Rs 1,421.64 crore, net profit up 18.4%

Ajanta Pharma reported a strong performance for the fourth quarter of FY26, with healthy year-on-year growth across revenue and profitability, supported by steady operational momentum.

Revenue from operations rose to ₹1,421.64 crore in Q4FY26, compared to ₹1,170.41 crore in the same quarter last year, marking a growth of approximately 21.5%. Including other income, total income increased to ₹1,483.07 crore from ₹1,188.52 crore, reflecting a 24.8% year-on-year rise.

On the cost side, total expenses climbed to ₹1,135.96 crore from ₹919.11 crore, registering a 23.6% increase. The rise in expenses was largely driven by higher employee benefits, other expenses, and material costs, indicating continued investment in operations and expansion.

Despite the increase in costs, profitability remained strong. Profit before tax stood at ₹347.11 crore, up from ₹269.41 crore in Q4FY25, translating into a robust growth of about 28.9%. This also led to a slight improvement in operating efficiency, with PBT margin rising to around 24.4% from 23.0% a year ago.

Net profit for the quarter came in at ₹266.70 crore, compared to ₹225.26 crore in the corresponding period last year, delivering a growth of roughly 18.4%. The relatively lower growth in net profit compared to PBT reflects higher tax outgo during the quarter.

Ajanta Pharma receives five observations from US FDA after facility inspection

Ajanta Pharma shares jump over 4% after signing in-licensing agreement with Biocon

Shares of Ajanta Pharma Ltd. moved over 4% higher in early trade after the company announced a strategic in-licensing agreement with Biocon Ltd. for Semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist used to improve glycaemic control in adults with diabetes.

Ajanta Pharma shares jump 8% on strong Q4 numbers

Shares of Ajanta Pharma went up over 8% today. This happened after the company announced buyback of shares worth Rs 285 crore. It also came after Ajanta Pharma reported good earnings for January-March quarter.

The pharma company will buyback up to 10.28 lakh shares through a tender offer. The buyback price is Rs 2,770 per share. This is 24% higher than Thursday’s closing price of Rs 2,233.

Ajanta Pharma board has approved buyback of up to 10,28,881 equity shares. This is 0.82% of total shares. The shares will be bought back from shareholders on record date of May 30, 2024.

Talking about Q4 results, Ajanta Pharma profit grew 66% year-on-year to Rs 203 crore. This is compared to Rs 122 crore profit in same period last year.

The pharma company’s revenue from operations rose 20% to Rs 1,054 crore versus Rs 882 crore a year ago.

Ajanta Pharma’s operating profit or Ebitda jumped 86% to Rs 278 crore against Rs 149 crore last year. Ebitda margin stood at 26%.

Following the strong set of numbers and buyback announcement, Ajanta Pharma shares were trading 8.61% higher at Rs 2,426.30 on NSE at 10:22 am today.

Q2 Result: Several companies will today disclose their Q2 financial results, including Britannia, Cipla, Titan Company, GAIL India, InterGlobe Aviation, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Escorts Kubota, Go Fashion (India), Mahindra Logistics, Marico, TVS Motor Company, and Wockhardt.

Vodafone Idea: As a result of rising finance and operating costs, Vodafone India’s (Vi’s) net loss increased 6.4% on a year-over-year (YoY) basis to Rs 7,595 crore in the second quarter of FY23. The business reported a net loss of Rs 7,132 crore over the comparable period in the previous year.

Adani Enterprises: According to its results released on Thursday, the company’s consolidated net profit for the quarter ending in September (Q2) more than quadrupled from the prior year to reach Rs 461 crore. Consolidated sales for the company increased nearly threefold year over year (YoY) in the second quarter to reach Rs 38,175 crore.

Hero MotoCorp: Due to weaker rural demand, the company’s consolidated net profit decreased 8.63% year over year (YoY) to Rs 682.28 crore in the second quarter of FY23. In Q2 of FY22, the company generated a net profit of Rs. 747.79 crore.

Mahindra Lifespaces Developers: Compared to a net profit of Rs 6.52 crore in the same quarter last year, Mahindra Lifespaces Developers, the Mahindra Group’s real estate and infrastructure development division, posted a net loss of Rs 7.74 crore for the quarter that ended in September.

Amara Raja Batteries: The business reported a combined profit of Rs 201.22 crore, up 39% year over year. The quarter’s revenue increased 19.3% to Rs 2,700.5 crore.

Sanofi India: As a result of an unusual gain in the prior year, the company’s second-quarter earnings, at Rs. 130.9 crore, was down 75% YoY. For the quarter, revenue decreased 8.3% year over year to Rs 692 crore.

Blue Star: The business reported a combined profit of Rs. 43 crore, up 37% year over year. Its income increased by 27% to Rs 1,576 crore.

JK Lakshmi Cement: In the second quarter, the cement company’s consolidated earnings fell by 29% year over year to Rs. 61.8 crore. With respect to the same period previous year, its income increased by 13.6% to Rs 1,373.5 crore.

Ajanta Pharma: For Q2FY23, the business reported a 20% year-over-year fall in earnings at Rs 157 crore. Operating income increased 6% to Rs 938 crore.

Cochin Shipyard: A European Client has placed an international order with the business for two commissioning service operation vessels (CSOV). For the installation of offshore wind farms, these vessels will be employed. Approximately Rs 1,000 crore is the project’s anticipated cost.

SRF: The business has authorised plans for the construction of four new facilities and the expansion of an existing plant’s production capabilities, which are expected to cost Rs 604 crore in total.

Ceeta Industries: The business has started producing ready-to-eat snacks on a commercial scale.

Persistent Systems: The company has established a strategic agreement with Software AG to create joint solutions to speed up operational excellence through the modernization of processes and applications as well as the simpler movement of data between businesses to create value.

Ajanta Pharma approves buyback worth Rs 135.97 crore

Ajanta Pharma ltd. announced on Wednesday that it would buyback of 7,35,000 equity shares worth Rs 135.97 crore.

The Mumbai based company stated in its BSE regulatory filing. “This is in furtherance to our intimation dated 3rd November 2020, where we informed you that the Board of Directors of the Company (“Board”) approved a proposal for the buyback of 7,35,000 (Seven Lakh Thirty- Five Thousand) equity shares of Rs. 2 each representing 0.84% of the total number of equity shares in the paid-up share capital of the Company from the shareholders of the Company as on the record date i.e. 13th November 2020 on a proportionate basis under the tender offer route in accordance with provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and Rules framed thereunder and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Buy Back of Securities) Regulations, 2018, as amended (“Buyback Regulations”).”

“The aggregate consideration for Buyback not exceeding Rs 135,97,50,000/- (Rupees One
