China on Tuesday said upcoming discussions between Beijing and Russia during President Vladimir Putin’s visit would focus on major regional and international issues, while also calling for greater cooperation with the United States on artificial intelligence governance and development.

Speaking during a regular media briefing, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry said Beijing and Moscow would exchange views on key geopolitical developments and matters of mutual concern during Putin’s visit.

The remarks come amid deepening strategic coordination between China and Russia on issues linked to global security, trade, energy cooperation and international diplomacy.

Although the Chinese Foreign Ministry did not publicly detail the full agenda of the visit, analysts expect discussions to cover regional conflicts, economic cooperation, energy partnerships and evolving global political alignments.
