Google opens way for applications for start-up accelerator

Google India on Friday said that it has begun welcoming applications from new companies for the third bunch of its Launchpad Accelerator India program. The date till the applications will be open is August 18, 2019.

New businesses working in machine learning or potentially AI or trying to address areas or issues explicit to India can apply for this program. The other prerequisite is that such new startups ought to be based in India and ought to ideally have raised at least seed funding, it said.

The program will begin with a weeklong boot camp in Bangalore in October. Each class will get mentorship and support from Google in AI/ML, cloud, UX, Android, web, product strategy and marketing. New businesses will likewise get Google Cloud Credits from $20K (over ₹14 lakh), going up to $100K (over ₹70 lakh) each, an announcement from Google said.
