A sudden incident occurred during BJP National President JP Nadda’s address in Vadodara on Saturday, November 29, when a commando assigned to his Z Plus security collapsed near the stage mid-speech. The episode took place at Atladara during the Sardar at 150 Rashtriya Ekta Yatra, where Nadda was speaking as part of the Unity March’s entry into the city.
According to initial reports, the commando collapsed due to fatigue or physical discomfort after standing for a prolonged period. Security personnel immediately rushed to his aid, carried him to a safe spot and arranged medical attention. Despite the unexpected commotion, Nadda continued with his address.
The Unity March, organised to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, moved across Vadodara with various community and religious groups welcoming the procession. Senior BJP leaders, including State President Jagdish Vishwakarma and Union Minister Piyush Goyal, joined different segments of the rally.

No one from the stage even got to check up on him and Nadda continued to speak.
These small things tell you a lot about the character of politicians.

Nadda and Piyush Goyal target Congress
During the address, JP Nadda criticised the Congress, alleging that the party attempted to diminish Sardar Patel’s contributions. He said Patel’s role in uniting India would be remembered by future generations and recalled Patel’s commitment to national service at Mahatma Gandhi’s request. Nadda added that the removal of Article 370 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah fulfilled Patel’s vision for Jammu and Kashmir.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal also addressed the gathering, noting the nationwide enthusiasm for the march. He criticised previous governments for not giving adequate recognition to Sardar Patel’s work and said even Mahatma Gandhi had not been accorded full respect earlier. Goyal also mentioned that India hosting the Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad a century after their inception would be a moment of pride.
The rally concluded at the Atladara Sardar Sabha venue, where a grand welcome took place at the Swaminarayan Temple.
