In a video released by the Twitter handle of Chinar Corps – Indian Army, a soldier is seen talking down to a terrorist identified as Jahangir Bhat. The terrorist can be seen surrendering before the security forces. The Indian Army was conducting an anti-terror operation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The army personnel can be seen calming the man, “you have been surrounded, Jahangir, it is a request drop your weapons, come outside and surrender. For God’s sake, for your family’s sake come outside and we assure that nothing will happen to you.”

“Nobody will fire,” the soldiers said among themselves.

With a personal touch, the soldier said, “Aajao, kuch nahi hoga, beta,” in Hindi. As when Jahangir surrendered the soldier asked others to “Give him water. Maintain some distance. Please be quiet.”

“Leave your jersey. Nothing will happen to you. You have done a great job.” the soldiers said as they calmed Jahangir and he sat in front of them,

In the video, the security forces also interact with Jahangir’s father who touched their feet for saving his son. Jahangir and his father hugged in front of them.

Jahangir Bhat is 31-year-old who went missing on October 13 from Chadoora. His family was trying to trace him. On Friday, he was nabbed with an AK rifle, the Army has said.
