As per reports, three terrorists affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in the Shukroo forest area of Keller in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.
A massive cordon and search operation was reportedly launched by police and army units following specific intelligence inputs about terrorist movement in the area.
Sources suggest that as the joint team began the combing operation, the terrorists opened fire, prompting a gunfight. All three terrorists were killed during the exchange, though their identities are yet to be confirmed.
The operation is said to be ongoing as forces continue to search the area for any remaining threats.
