President Ram Nath Kovind, PM Modi pays tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the anniversary of his death

Among many dignitaries who paid tribute to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his second death anniversary on Sunday were President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Several Union ministers and other leaders joined them in paying respects to him at ‘Sadaiv Atal,’ the national capital’s Vajpayee shrine.

Modi said India will always remember his outstanding service and efforts towards the nation’s progress. “Tributes to beloved Atal Ji on his Punya Tithi. A statesman and stalwart saffron, other senior BJP leaders have fondly remembered him. Home Minister Amit Shah said the country had for the first time seen the introduction of “good governance” in the nation under Vajpayee.

By keeping his ideas at the core of his work, the Modi government aims for the welfare of the poor and good
governance, Shah added.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Vajpayee’s tremendous contribution towards pubic life and India’s development will always be cherished, and his vision for the country will continue to inspire the coming generations.
