
On Monday, 22nd March 2021, President Ram Nath Kovind and First lady Savita Kovind visited Jagannath temple at around 11 am IST for worshiping and then donated Rs 1 lakh towards the development of Shri Jagannath Dham.

President Kovind is on a three-day visit to Odisha along with his wife Savita Kovind, starting from Saturday, March 20.
On Sunday, March 21, the President attended the 18th annual convocation of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela and also inaugurated a Super Specialty Hospital in the Rourkela Steel Plant. President Kovind said that for inclusive development of a country, strong socio-economic structure is necessary along with the industrial advancement.
The President said that Rourkela Steel Plant has played a major role in the industrial development of our country. He further noted that Rourkela Steel Plant has been sensitive in this regard. It has made conscious efforts to bring changes in not only in the industrial activities but also in the fields of healthcare, education, culture, sports, etc.

Today, on his last day of visit to Odisha, President Kovind will visit the Konark Sun temple and will also visit the India Oil Foundation Trust Interpretation Centre in the evening, before flying back to Delhi.
