President Droupadi Murmu reaffirmed India’s priority for Nepal on Thursday and emphasised the nation’s dedication to strengthening its development relationship with the neighbouring country, particularly the speedy completion of crucial projects.
In addition, Murmu noted that bilateral cooperation between India and Nepal has grown in recent years while extending a warm welcome to Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, a.k.a. “Prachanda” at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
She emphasised that despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 outbreak, trade between the two nations remained steadfast.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was also visited by Prime Minister Prachanda at his official house in this city.

Murmu stated that the open border between India and Nepal has boosted tourism on both sides of the border during her meeting with the prime minister of the neighbouring nation.

She also stressed the necessity of revitalising the spiritual tourism industry in order to encourage intercultural exchange and travel.
Increasing financial connections and signing sister-city partnerships, according to Murmu, can help increase travel between the two nations. He also noted that India prioritises Nepal.
According to a statement released by Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President stated that India looks forward to expanding its development collaboration, including the quick completion of significant projects.
According to the report, Murmu also gave Prachanda his congratulations on becoming prime minister of Nepal.
According to her, the country anticipates a constructive agenda in India-Nepal bilateral relations to elevate the long-standing cooperation to new heights given his previous ties to India and expertise.
In addition, President Murmu stated his belief that this visit will further solidify the already close ties between the two nations.
On Wednesday afternoon, Prachanda began a four-day tour to Delhi.
