President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended their wishes on Raksha Bandhan, the festival celebrating the love between brothers and sisters.
PM Modi shared warm greetings and good wishes to the citizens on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The festival which celebrates the deep bond of love between siblings, is being celebrated all over the nation today, August 11. “Greetings to everyone on the special occasion of Raksha Bandhan,” he tweeted.

In her tweet in Hindi, President Murmu wrote: “On the joyful occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a symbol of warmth and trust, the unbreakable bond between brother and sister, I extend my greetings and truest wishes to all the residents. I wish that this festival should emphasize harmony and harmony in our society and heighten respect towards women.”

Earlier on Wednesday eve, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called Rakhi, a symbol of the sacred relationship of brother and sister while further asserting that Raksha Bandhan communicates zeal and enthusiasm in life along with mutual brotherhood. On the eve of Raksha Bandhan, a huge number of women of the state tied rakhi to the Chief Minister at his home and Chief Sevak Sadan auditorium and showered him long life wishes.
