Who is Baba Balak Nath, BJP’s probable candidate for Rajasthan in 2023?

Results of the assembly election in four states will be announced today. One of the most interesting state is Rajasthan, which is currently having a Congress elected Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. However, going by the current trends of the elections, BJP has taken a lead in the state.

One of the most popular candidates from BJP in Rajasthan is Baba Balak Nath, who is leading his constituency Tijara. Balak Nath, 39, is an aspirant for the chief minister’s post. He is also a member of parliament (MP) from Alwar Lok Sabha constituency and is nicknamed ‘Yogi of Rajasthan’, which is after BJP’s most successful CM in UP Yogi Adityanath.

Balak Nath is contesting against Congress’ Imran Khan. He is being considered for the post of chief minister, if the party manages to acquire majority in the desert state.

Currently, BJP is leading in Rajasthan with 113 seats out of 199. It must be noted that the state has 200 constituencies but the elections were only held in 199, due to the death of candidate. The state witnessed a total turnout of 74.96 per cent, which almost similar to 2018’s 74.06 per cent.

Balak Nath, who wears saffron clothes, holds popularity as the head of the Baba Mastnath Math in Rohtak.
