
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath got a bomb threat, officials notified on Monday. According to the ANI, on August 2, a death threat was received as a WhatsApp message on the police control room’s helpline.
The bomb threat, that came just few days before the Independence Day induced a stir. Officials took up with the report immediately after the threat message and commenced an investigation.
Reportedly, the WhatsApp message received on August 2 on the police control room’s helpline WhatsApp mentioned to bomb the Uttar Pradesh chief minister within three days.
The operation commander of the helpline registered a FIR with the police in the case and a search is under process to identify and arrest the sender. The case has been lodged at Sushant Golf City Police Station in Lucknow.
Earlier too, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had received a bomb threat before the UP elections, after which the accused was arrested by the Gorakhpur Police. The accused Sonu, lodged in Agra Jail, was arrested under Cantt Police Warrant ‘B’ of Gorakhpur and produced in the court. From where he was sent to Gorakhpur jail. The threatening accused is a resident of Ahmedpur under Sirsaganj police station area of Firozabad and was a leader of Bhim Army. Sonu used to run a Twitter account in the name of ‘Lady Don’. With this account, he had threatened to blow up CM Yogi with a bomb.
