On Thursday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided multiple locations in Rajasthan along with the residence of Rajasthan Congress Chief Govind Singh Dotasra and also summoned Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot.
Questioning the authenticity of the raids before the assembly elections, former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot (MLA from Tonk) made serious allegations on the BJP government while addressing a press conference at Congress headquarters in New Delhi.
“The timing of the action taken by the investigating agencies in Rajasthan today is very suspicious. The country and the state are looking at this very seriously. The way the house of Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara ji was raided without notice today, this is an indication that if BJP becomes politically weak then it will misuse the investigating agencies and create fear among the people. We oppose it,” said Sachin Pilot.
Sachin Pilot also backed CM Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot and said: “The summons given to Chief Minister’s son Vaibhav Gehlot is a 12-year-old case. Everyone understands what could be the thinking behind suddenly sending summons after the announcement of election dates.”
Earlier today, Sachin Pilot also made a social media post on X criticising the ED’s action on Congress leaders in Rajasthan. “I strongly condemn the ED raid on Rajasthan Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasara. ED summons has also been given to Vaibhav Gehlot, son of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. BJP cannot scare Congress leaders with such tactics. All the leaders and workers of the state Congress are standing together in solidarity,” said Pilot.

“BJP’s nervousness is clearly visible due to such action, because the public has made up its mind to bring Congress government back in Rajasthan in the upcoming elections,” added Pilot.
