Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey demands resignation of Maharashtra CM and Home Minister after Baba Siddique shooting

In the aftermath of the tragic shooting of senior NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey has come down heavily on the Maharashtra government, questioning the law and order situation in the city.

Speaking to the media, Dubey expressed deep concern over the state of safety in Mumbai, stating, “If former MLAs are not safe in our city Mumbai, if leaders of the government are not safe, then how will this government protect the common people?” He further demanded the resignation of Maharashtra Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis, saying, “He has no right to continue as the Home Minister.”

Dubey also criticized Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, arguing that he, too, should step down from his position, highlighting the apparent failure of the government to maintain law and order. “There is firing on the streets of Mumbai in broad daylight. Three rounds are being fired and people are being shot at… Is this law and order? The criminals have no fear,” he stated, pointing to what he described as a collapse in governance.

The spokesperson accused the Mahayuti government and BJP of tarnishing the politics of Maharashtra, saying their policies have brought disrepute to the state. This strong reaction from Shiv Sena (UBT) comes as public outrage and concern grow over the increasing incidents of violence in the city, raising questions about safety in Mumbai.

Authorities are still investigating the attack on Baba Siddique, and further updates are awaited.
