RIP Manmohan Singh: President of India Droupadi Murmu pays tribute to former Prime Minister

The passing away of Dr. Manmohan Singh has been one of the major loss for India and Indians, as the former prime minister was the architect behind liberalizing the Indian economy. Singh, who have also served as Finance Minister, is regarded as the man who revived the Indian economy when it facing its gravest financial crisis. He passed away in New Delhi at the age of 91.

Since his demise, tributes from some of the most prominent leaders around the globe has been pouring in.

President of India, Droupadi Murmu, has also now paid tribute to the politician and described him as “one of those rare politicians who also straddled the worlds of academia and administration with equal ease.” The post further read that he shall be “remembered for his service to the nation, his unblemished political life and his utmost humility.”
