Nitish Kumar resigns as Chief Minister of Bihar, breaks alliance with BJP

The resignation mark the return of Mahagatbandhan as JDU and RJD get ready to form a new government.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has dump his ally BJP in the state and submitted his resignation as NDA’s chief minister to the Governor. After meeting the Governor, Kumar is expected to have a second appointment for which he will be accompanied by Tejashwi Yadav, claim reports.

However, the resignation also mark the return of Mahagatbandhan as JDU and RJD get ready to form a new government together. Nitish Kumar, who resigned as Chief Minister of the current Bihar government, and Tejashwi Yadav, the 32-year-old Opposition leader, have agreed upon the broad contours of their understanding and have set the frame of alliance government.

Nitish Kumar will be Chief Minister with Tejashwi Yadav as his Deputy; The task of dividing all ministries will be Nitish Kumar’s call. The Speaker will be appointed from Tejashwi Yadav’s party, the Rashtriya Janata Dal.

However, it depends on the Governor’s actions after he meets with Nitish Kumar. Tejashwi Yadav is expected to attend the upcoming meeting, possibly along with other Opposition parties like the Left and the Congress who are willing to join in the new government led by Nitish Kumar.

It was from this morning that dump rumors begun to get clear as Nitish Kumar had a meeting of his legislators after accusing the Prime Minister’s party of working to break the Janata Dal United; along with this, Tejashwi Yadav met with his MLAs to formally deciding on reuniting with Nitish Kumar.
