Former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has made tough remarks against the Congress party over Madhya Pradesh assembly elections. He even warned of stepping out of the alliance, claiming that it is only applicable for national elections.
While talking to reporters, Akhilesh Yadav said: “If I had known on the first day that there is no alliance in India at the assembly level, then people from our party would never have gone to meet us, nor would we have given the list to Congress people. If the alliance would have been only for the general elections in Uttar Pradesh, then we will think upon it.”
"अगर ये मुझे पहले दिन पता होता कि विधानसभा स्तर पर कोई गठबंधन नहीं है INDIA का तो कभी मिलने नहीं जाते हमारी पार्टी के लोग और न ही हम कभी सूची देते कांग्रेस के लोगों को। गठबंधन केवल उत्तर प्रदेश में केंद्र के लिए होगा तो उसपर विचार किया जाएगा।"

Yadav also added that Congress should stop their leaders in MP making stupid comments about the party, “They should stop these ‘chirkut’ (petty) leaders from making frivolous statements.”
“These leaders are hand in glove with BJP in MP,” SP chief added.
Amid this, the Samajwadi Party released its third list for Madhya Pradesh assembly polls with two candidates. The party has fielded Rajendra Prasad Patel from Sidhi constituency, while Pushpendra Kumar from Chhatarpur. Earlier, SP had declared the names of 22 candidates in the second list released for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections.
