Among all the states, Rajasthan has been raking in the most attention during the current assembly elections. Previously in 2018, Congress had formed the government with Ashok Gehlot sitting as chief minister. However, the tables seemed to have turned now.
The current trend shows BJP leading on 97 seats and have already won 18. A party requires 101 seats to form the government. Congress has been struggling as it has only won 5 and is leading on 64 seats.
Mahant Balak Nath
The firebrand candidate of BJP, Balak Nath is among the top choices to lead the desert if BJP secure majority mark. The candidate, who only wears saffron, is up against Imran Khan, in Tijara constituency. He has taken a huge lead with the margin of more than 10,000 votes. Balak Nath, 39, is also popularly known as ‘Yogi of Rajasthan’.
Gajendra Singh Shekawat
The people have come out of the spell of the “magician,” said Gajendra Singh Shekawat, who is also an aspirant for the CM post in Rajasthan, on Sunday. The candidate leading in his constituency is confident that BJP will form government in Rajasthan.
Vasundhara Raje Scindia
Another prominent name in the list of probable candidate is Vasundhra Scindia, who has earlier served as Chief Minister in Rajasthan. The counting is still continuing, but Scindia is leading in her respective constituency
Princess Diya Kumari can be at the helm of chief minister post. She is a member of erstwhile Jaipur royal family. Granddaughter of Man Singh II, the last ruling Maharaja of princely state of Jaipur. Her appeal for votes has garnered her the nickname ‘daughter of Jaipur’. The princess contesting the elections from Jaipur’s Vidhyanagar East.
