Addressing the Kisan Majdor Jan Akrosh Rally organized in Sector 19 of the city, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda assured the public to fulfil six promises if the Congress government is formed.
Hooda said that the crowd gathered in the rally organized to pay tribute to the sacrifice of farmers is proving that the sacrifice of seven hundred and fifty farmers did not go in vain. No one can suppress the voice of the farmer. In the movement that lasted for 13 months, the farmers finally succumbed to the arrogant BJP government.
Congress waived the electricity bill in the year 2005 – Hooda
“In 2005, when the Congress government came to power in the state with the support of farmers, the first thing it did was to waive off the electricity bills of the farmers, whereas the previous government did the work of firing bullets,” said Hooda.
We have fulfilled our promises – Hooda
During the rally, Hooda said that if Congress government is formed in the upcoming assembly elections, pension of Rs 6,000 per month to the elderly, gas cylinder for Rs 500, 300 units of electricity free in view of inflation, 100 yard plots, cleaning staff, watchmen etc. will be given. And promised to make the employees engaged through HKRN permanent and free them from the hassles of family identity card.
The former CM announced the construction of a memorial by giving a job to a member of the family of the farmers who died in the farmers’ movement and giving them the status of a martyr.
Why am I the CM’s target?
Deepender Rajya Sabha MP Deependra Hooda paid tribute to the memory of the sacrificed farmers by observing two minutes of silence from the stage. Deependra said that CM Manohar Lal has targeted me for the last three-four days. What is my fault? I speak honestly in favour of the farmers. He said that under the BJP government, sportsperson daughters are being dragged on the streets of Delhi. He said that I will always stand with what is right. I will neither bow down nor stop.
