Congress attacks BJP as ED summons CM Ashok Gehlot’s son, raids state chief’s premises

Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided 7 locations including Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara’s premises in Jaipur and Sikar and a coaching institute allegedly linked to him, and also summoned Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot.

Post the rally held by Priyanka Gandhi on October 25 at  Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided 7 locations including Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara’s premises in Jaipur and Sikar and a coaching institute allegedly linked to him, and also summoned Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot.

“Satyamev Jayate,” said Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara in a social media post on X.

Reacting to this action by the Central Agency, CM Ashok Gehlot wrote on X: “Date 25/10/23 — Congress launches guarantees for women of Rajasthan, Date 26/10/23 — ED raid on Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Ji Dotasara – Summons to my son Vaibhav Gehlot to appear in ED.”

The Raid was made as part of a money laundering investigation alleged in the exam paper leak case (leak of the paper conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission for the recruitment).

Attacking the investigation, Gehlot jibes the BJP government being afraid of losing the assembly elections of Rajasthan by adding to his post: “Now you can understand what I have been saying that ED’s Red Rose is happening inside Rajasthan because BJP does not want that women, farmers and poor in Rajasthan should get the benefit of the guarantees given by Congress.”

Reacting to the same, Mallikarjun Khagre, President of Indian National Congress, posted on X: “As soon as elections come, ED, CBI, IT etc. become the real ‘Panna Pramukh’ of BJP. Seeing its certain defeat in Rajasthan, Bharatiya Janata Party made its last move! After Chhattisgarh, ED has also started action against Congress leaders entering the assembly election campaign in Rajasthan. The dictatorship of Modi government is fatal for democracy. We will continue to fight against the misuse of agencies, the public will give a befitting reply to the BJP.”

Earlier this year, in June, ED arrested a few members of RPSC, namely Babulal Katara and Anil Kumar Meena as part of an investigation raiding multiple locations in Rajasthan.

The elections for poll-bound Rajasthan for 200 seats are scheduled for November 25.
