The government has suspended the new body of WFI. After which the new President of the Indian Wrestling Association, Sanjay Singh and his entire team have been suspended.
The Sports Ministry has taken this big decision after the retirement of Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik and withdrawal of Padma Shri award to Bajrang Punia. Along with this, the Sports Ministry has also cancelled all the upcoming programs of the Wrestling Association.
The Sports Ministry has said in its order that the new association had announced the upcoming tournaments and programs against the rules.
