As per AAP sources, Kejriwal has proposed the name of Delhi Minister Atishi as the new Chief Minister, and she has been elected as the leader of the Delhi AAP Legislative Party.
Atishi, a prominent AAP leader, currently holds several key portfolios in the Delhi government, including Finance, Education, Public Works Department, Power, Art Culture and Languages, Tourism, and Women and Child Development. She has been a member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly since 2020, representing the Kalkaji constituency.
The decision to elevate Atishi to the top post comes as no surprise, given her extensive experience in governance and her close association with Kejriwal. As an advisor to former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia from 2015 to 2018, Atishi played a pivotal role in shaping the party’s education policies and initiatives.
