As told to News18 by the sources that there shall be no change in the Uttarakhand cabinet, ahead of the oath-taking ceremony of Pushkar Singh Dhami as the Uttarakhand chief minister. Paving the way for Pushkar to take over as the 11th chief minister of the state, the two-time Member of the Legislative Assembly from Khatima was been unanimously elected by the Uttarakhand Bhartiya Janata Party legislature on Saturday replacing Tirath Singh Rawat who had resigned citing constitutional factors, on Friday.
Adding that all ministers are likely to retain their cabinet berths, the entire cabinet shall be taking an oath on Sunday evening at Raj Bhavan, as mentioned by the sources. With regards to those unhappy with Pushkar’s elections, the Union home minister Amit Shah also conversed with senior ministers, the sources added.
All efforts are being made by the party to pacify those MLA’s in previous CM Tirath Singh Rawat’s cabinet amid reports which claim that the resentment in the state unit has been fueled by the selection of Pushkar for the top role.
Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bansidhar Bhagat said that he’s somewhere red that 35 MLA’s have reached Delhi and mentions the reports to be mere rumors saying that the leaders stand firmly with the party, on being asked about the displeasure of the MLA’s. Bharatiya Janata Party’s MLA Dhan Singh Rawat mentioned that everyone in Uttarakhand was happy with the decision thereby Echoing Bhagat’s view.
