Ajit Pawar of NCP turns down MoS post, demands Cabinet Ministry from BJP government

Narendra Modi is just a minutes away from taking oath for the third time as the Prime Minister of India. Along with PM, some of the union ministers are also expected to take oath today. It is expected that at least 12 ministries will be given to the allies of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

One of the key partners in NDA alliance is Nationalist Congress Party- Ajit Pawar faction. Pawar recently stated that Praful Patel of NCP was offered a Minister of State with independent charge post, however, they have declined it as Patel has earlier served as Cabinet Minister.

“We told BJP that we are ready to wait for a few days, but we want a Cabinet Ministry,” said Pawar.
