ACB visit Uddhav Thackeray’s close aide, Yogesh Bhoir at his Mumbai home; Here’s all about him

Yogesh Bhoir, a supporter and close aid of Uddhav Thackeray, was the target of a corruption investigation by the ACB, which also conducted a search of his home in Mumbai’s Kandivali neighbourhood.

On March 6, the Anti-Corruption Bureau visited Yogesh Bhoir’s home in Mumbai’s Kandivali for a search operation related to the case. Yogesh Bhoir is an aide of Uddhav Thackeray.

Former Shiv Sena corporator Yogesh Bhoir served under the direction of Uddhav Thackeray. In 2012, he was chosen to serve in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation BMC (Ward No. 24). After which, he was appointed Chairman of the Prabhag Samiti in 2015.

Yogesh Bhoir involved in cases of money extortion

Bhoir and his two companions were detained in December of last year for threatening a merchant. The crime branch lodged charges against him and his two friends, Dinesh Thakur and Ganesh Thakur, for extortion, threatening behavior, and money lending.

Prior to that, the criminal branch had also detained TRI activist Bhimsen Yadav for allegedly demanding Rs. 1 crore from the developer; during questioning, Bhoir’s name also came up; However, he was able to obtain anticipatory bail.

First speech by Uddhav Thackeray after bow and arrow symbol dropped

After losing the name and the Shiv Sena party’s iconic bow-and-arrow symbol, which his late father Balasaheb Thackeray founded, Uddhav Thackeray recently addressed the first-ever gathering in Ratnagiri district. He denounced the BJP as the political party with the most corrupt members while also criticising the Election Commission.

He criticised the EC for siding with Shinde and said that his father, not the EC’s father, was the one who formed the Shiv Sena.

Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, responded to Uddhav Thackeray’s speech by saying that it had nothing new and was solely filled with rage and desperation.
