AAP breaks INDIA alliance; Gopal Rai says ‘No alliance in country…’

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Gopal Rai on Thursday said that the party will not be fighting along with its INDIA bloc partners for the Assembly polls. The crucial Vidhan Sabha polls for all 70 constituencies in the national capital are scheduled to be in held in February 2025.

“There is no alliance in the country. We will fight the Vidhan Sabha elections together with the people of Delhi,” said Rai to reporters on Thursday.

The AAP had joined the other Opposition Parties to form an alliance to fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)- led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

Apart from AAP, TMC also held that the INDIA alliance would be only for Lok Sabha Elections and refused to form one at state level.
