Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Punjab’s Adampur Air Force Station early this morning, where he was briefed on the current security situation and interacted with the Indian Air Force personnel stationed there. The Adampur base is one of the four key IAF installations — alongside Udhampur, Pathankot, and Bhuj — that sustained limited damage in recent Pakistani attacks during escalating tensions.
Modi’s visit, which lasted about an hour, included discussions with fighter pilots and technical staff responsible for recent operations. He was accompanied by Air Force Chief, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister shared photographs from his visit and described it as a “very special experience.”
“Earlier this morning, I went to AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination and fearlessness. India is eternally grateful to our armed forces for everything they do for our nation,” PM Modi posted.

The Adampur Air Base is a strategic station and houses the Indian Air Force’s MiG-29 fighter jets. PM Modi’s visit comes at a time of heightened military vigilance and national concern, further underlining his support for the armed forces on the frontlines.
