PM Modi to launch a milestone in the name of SWAMITVA scheme today

After this, the state governments will distribute the physical distribution of the Property Cards to the beneficiaries from 763 villages across six States including 346 from Uttar Pradesh, 221 from Haryana, 100 from Maharashtra, 44 from Madhya Pradesh, 50 from Uttarakhand, and 2 from Karnataka. Maharashtra has a system of recovering the nominal cost of Property Card, so it will take a month.

The Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi launched the SVAMITVA scheme on the National Panchayati Raj Day, 24th April 2020. The scheme will provide property cards to all the beneficiaries within the period of 2020-2024, covering 6.62 lakh villages of the country.

PM Modi believes that the scheme will bring a positive change for the people residing in rural India, and will be a milestone for their progress.

“Tomorrow is going to bring a big positive change for rural India. Distribution of property cards will be launched at 11 am under the ownership plan. This scheme will prove to be a milestone in the lives of crores of Indians,” he said.

PM Modi added: “Property cards will be given to people in about 6.62 lakh villages of the country in a phased manner under the ownership plan. Villagers will get an official document of ownership of their property, which will empower them. Through this, they will be able to take advantage of many financial facilities including bank loans.”
