PM Modi pays tribute to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on Birth Anniversary

On the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, (Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam) Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to him on Twitter.

On the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, (Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam) Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to him on Twitter. Through a video, he narrated his achievements and contribution towards the national development and noted that India can never forget Kalam’s contribution be it as a scientist or the President of India.

PM Modi tweeted, “Tributes to Dr. Kalam on his Jayanti. India can never forget his indelible contribution towards national development, be it as a scientist and as the President of India. His life journey gives strength to millions.”

In the beautiful video, he narrated one of his famous quotes “The purpose of education is to make good human beings with skills & expertise. Enlighten human being can be created by teachers.”

 

Former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, (Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam) fondly called the ‘Missile Man’ was the 11th President of India. He spearheaded the development of most significant Indian missiles and the late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam had also contributed to the development of the country in different spheres.

The Indian aerospace scientist and politician was born in 1931 in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. He played a leading role in the development of India’s missile and nuclear weapons programs. Dr Kalam served as the president of India from 2002 to 2007.

After his single term presidential term ended, he then returned to his civilian life of education, writing and public service. He also received several prestigious awards, including the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour.
