PM Modi adorns symbolic yellow turban on 75th Republic Day celebrations

On India’s 75th Republic Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a distinctive style statement by donning a multi-coloured turban, predominantly in the symbolic colour yellow, representing Lord Ram. The choice of attire carried significant meaning, particularly after PM Modi led the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the newly-built Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22.

Accompanied by a Rajasthani Bandhini print turban, PM Modi complemented his attire with a white kurta, pyjama, and a brown Nehru jacket. The ensemble not only showcased his deep connection to the nation but also reflected India’s rich religious heritage and the principle of unity in diversity. The yellow turban, with its ties to Lord Ram, held particular importance in the overall symbolism of the occasion.
