PM maintaining stoic silence on violence in Manipur : Lalan

JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh on Sunday took a potshot at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his “stoic” silence on violence in Manipur where a large number of people lost their lives.

Patna, May 7: JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh on Sunday took a potshot at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his “stoic” silence on violence in Manipur where a large number of people lost their lives.

Singh tweeted that it was really surprising to see “stoic” silence of the Prime Minister on violence which erupted in Manipur.

A large number of people had lost their lives in Manipur violence but the Prime Minister had no time to say two words of consolation for their family members, he noted.

” It is surprising that PM Modi is engaged in electioneering in Karnataka and trying to somehow create communal tension there to take electoral advantage, ” JD(U) leader said adding PM Modi appeared totally unfazed b the woes and sufferings of the people.

It was painful to note that the Prime Minister was holding roadshows with fanfare in Karnataka while a north east state was burning, he remarked.
Singh also came down heavily on the BJP for its stand on caste census in Bihar.

On one hand the BJP supported caste census while on the other hand, the party got stayed caste census exercise by Patna High Court by getting ite challenged, he alleged.

The BJP had encouraged its own persons to file petition in court to challenge caste census exercise in court, he maintained.
