Parliament Security Breach: MHA forms Enquiry Committee to probe incident

The Union Home Ministry has taken a big decision in the matter of breach in the security of Parliament. The Home Ministry has ordered an investigation into the security breach.

The Union Home Ministry, on the request of the Lok Sabha Secretariat, on Wednesday ordered an inquiry into the incident of lapse in Parliament security. The officers provided this information.

A Home Ministry spokesperson said a committee led by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General Anish Dayal Singh will investigate the incident. He said that the committee will also include members and experts from other security agencies. The committee will find out the reasons for the lapse in security of Parliament and recommend action.

The spokesperson said, “On the request of the Lok Sabha Secretariat, the Home Ministry has ordered an inquiry into the incident of lapse in security of Parliament. The investigation committee has been constituted under the leadership of CRPF Director General Anish Dayal Singh, which includes members and experts from other security agencies.

 

He said the committee will investigate the reasons for the security breach, identify vulnerabilities and recommend further action. The spokesperson said, “The committee will submit its report with recommendations as soon as possible, which will also include suggestions to improve the security of Parliament.”

During the proceedings of the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, two people suddenly jumped inside the House from the audience gallery and spread smoke through ‘canes’. Immediately after this, both were caught. Meanwhile, the police have arrested Amol and Neelam for spreading yellow and red smoke using cans during the protest outside the Parliament House.
