
Moscow, Feb 25 (UNI/Sputnik) The Russian military will take measures to ensure the security of the personnel of the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday. “Russian soldiers will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the UN and OSCE missions’ personnel in Ukraine,” Zakharova told a briefing. On Thursday morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a military operation in Ukraine after the request of the breakaway Donbas republics for help against aggression of the Ukrainian troops. The Russian military is targeting Ukrainian military facilities, avoiding civilians and civilian infrastructure.
